Hearing Xavier's voice, Summer's lips curled into a smirk. She had been regretting not landing a few kicks on him; it felt like a missed opportunity.
She didn't expect him to literally chase after her just to get stomped on.
With Silas here, she knew he wouldn't let anything happen to her. She wasn't afraid of Xavier in the slightest.
Summer turned around and marched right back up to Xavier.
"What do you want?" Xavier looked down at her.
Summer flashed him a breathtaking, radiant smile.
Xavier seemed briefly mesmerized by it, and in that split second, Summer raised her leg and kicked him as hard as she could.
"Ah..." Xavier groaned in pain. "Summer!"
Seizing the moment, Summer delivered another brutal kick.
Xavier stared at her, utterly shocked, incredulous, and furious.
Summer kept her brilliant smile perfectly in place. "I really wanted to kick you earlier, Xavier. I'd love nothing more than to kick you to death."
Silas stood firmly and quietly by Summer's side.
A faint smile played on his lips as he asked with complete adoration, "Did you hurt your foot? Can you still walk? I can carry you on my back, or carry you in my arms. You choose."
Summer laughed, shaking her head. "It doesn't hurt. I can walk."
The two of them turned to leave without sparing Xavier another glance.
Xavier stared at their retreating backs, his voice dropping into a menacing growl. "You think you can just kick me and walk away, Summer?"
Silas turned to look at him. "What exactly do you want, Mr. Sterling? A fight?"
"I know you're upset about your wife cuckolding you twice over. If you want to throw punches, I'm happy to oblige. But leave the lady out of this."
Xavier spat viciously, "Who the hell do you think you are, Silas? This is between me and Summer. Stay out of it!"
With that, Xavier lunged forward, reaching out to grab Summer.
Silas immediately blocked him. A second later, Xavier's fist came swinging.
"Watch out!" Summer cried out. Moving with lightning speed, she grabbed a nearby liquor bottle.
Smash!
Crack!
The bottle shattered spectacularly against Xavier's body.
Xavier froze, his jaw locking into a razor-sharp line. The aura radiating from him was cold and completely unhinged.
In that split second of hesitation, Silas caught his arm and immediately retaliated with a brutal right hook.
The fury inside Xavier erupted. All logic vanished. Like a rabid dog, he tackled Silas, throwing wild punches.
Both men were trained in combat, but right now, there was no technique involved. It was a vicious, bare-knuckle brawl, each man desperate to beat the other to a pulp.
Summer wanted to help Silas, but the fight was too chaotic. She couldn't find an opening without risking hitting Silas by mistake.
It wasn't until the club's security team rushed over that the two men were finally ripped apart.
