Summer scowled and gritted her teeth. "Xavier, if you don't want to end up on the front page of the tabloids, let me go!"

Xavier gave a careless smirk. "I'm no longer the CEO of the Sterling Group. Being in the tabloids is just petty gossip now. It won't affect the company. But you, on the other hand... hooking up with Lilith's former lover? You're going to be famous, Summer."

Xavier viciously seized Summer's wrists, pinning them firmly above her head.

Summer brought her knee up to strike him, but Xavier clamped his legs around hers, trapping her completely.

As she struggled, a furious flush crept up her radiant cheeks.

She practically screamed, "Xavier Sterling!"

Xavier was clearly drunk. He stared at Summer with bloodshot eyes, his jaw clenched so tightly it looked like it might snap. "Sometimes, I really want to strangle you, Summer."

The raw hatred in his voice was unmistakable. He truly wanted to choke the life out of her.

Summer let out a cold laugh. The feeling was completely mutual.
