By the time Wesley arrived, Xavier had already downed a whole bottle. A woman tried to press herself against his body, but Xavier kicked her away.

Wesley went over, helped the woman up, and pulled a stack of cash from Xavier's pocket to hand to her. "For your medical bills and emotional distress."

After the woman left, Wesley sat down. "Are you trying to drink yourself to death? If you do, the news tomorrow will report that you got cuckolded and committed suicide by alcohol out of sheer fury."

Xavier paused his drinking and looked at him.

Wesley stared back with an innocent expression. "What? Those paparazzi could absolutely come up with a headline that outrageous."

"Wesley, are you treating Maeve Vance?" Xavier asked suddenly.

Xavier had tried looking for Maeve before but couldn't find her. He had wondered where Summer was hiding her.

He only just remembered that Maeve's health was poor and she needed treatment.

Only Wesley could do it.

Summer was so filial, she couldn't possibly ignore Maeve's health. She must have privately sought out Wesley to give Maeve acupuncture.

Wesley pushed the glass in his hand toward Xavier's mouth. "Just keep drinking."

Xavier downed the glass in one gulp and asked, "Where did Summer hide Maeve?"

"You won't be able to get in."

"The military compound? Could it be Harrison Banks' house?"

Wesley really wanted to give Xavier a thumbs-up. This deductive reasoning was spot on; he guessed it right away.

Seeing Wesley remain silent, Xavier raised an eyebrow. "Is it really? What exactly is the relationship between Summer and Harrison?"

"It's not my place to discuss other people's business."

"Then tell me something you can talk about," Xavier said, throwing an arm around Wesley's neck. "Next time you go treat Maeve, help me ask her which orphanage Summer came from."

Wesley asked curiously, "What are you trying to do? Get revenge on Summer?"

"I'm just investigating something."

"Really?"

Xavier tilted his head to look at him. "Do you care about Summer that much? Do you like her?"

Wesley thought for a moment, then used a more accurate word. "I admire her."

He greatly admired Summer's talent.

Whether Xavier absorbed that or not was unclear as he continued on his own, "Then I advise you to give up on that idea. Summer and Silas Sinclair have hooked up. The two of them have probably been in cahoots for a long time."
