Xander Sterling said, "I will discuss the matter with Mr. Sinclair when I return, but please refrain from personal insults."
"What a touching display of brotherhood."
He just didn't know if Xavier Sterling would still feel so brotherly once he found out Xander had feelings for his ex-wife.

At the restaurant.
As the current CEO of the Sterling Group, Xander was incredibly busy and about to leave Highland Park.
Before his departure, the two brothers shared a meal.
"You aren't coming back with me?" Xander asked.
"She got hurt because of me," Xavier hesitated. "I'll head back once she recovers a bit more."
"What's your take on her pushing Summer?"
Hearing Summer's name, Xavier paused, looking up at Xander. "You were really worried about Summer that day, Xander."
Xander murmured in agreement. "I was terrified something would happen to her."
Xavier had initially brushed it off as overthinking, but at this moment, he was certain.
It would be a lie to say he wasn't shocked. "You have feelings for Summer?!"
Xander elegantly wiped his mouth, folded his napkin, and placed it down before giving a solemn nod.
"Didn't you ask me why I couldn't control myself when I was drugged back then? It was because I mistook her for someone else."
"No wonder," Xavier laughed. "I always thought you were into Lilith. I hated you for a long time over that and fought you on everything."
"I told you back then that I didn't like Lilith. I liked someone else, but you just refused to believe me."
Thinking back on the past, Xander sighed, his gaze turning somber. "It's a shame we never caught the person who drugged me."
After all these years, Xander still couldn't let it go.
If not for that incident, he would never have missed his chance with Summer.
He and Alexandra Ashford had made a pact back then—a fake engagement where they both got what they needed.
She would help him secure power over the Sterling Group, and he would help her take back the Ashford family by kicking out her illegitimate sister.
He had even mapped out a detailed plan to win Summer's heart.
From becoming acquaintances to close friends, falling in love, and eventually marrying—every step was perfectly calculated. He had even started envisioning their wedding.
Xavier lowered his eyes in guilt. "Xander, I know what happened back then."
"You know?" Xander was brilliant and immediately pieced it together. "It was Lilith who drugged the drink?"
Xavier remained silent.
Furious, Xander looked as if he wanted to strangle Xavier. "You were the one who tampered with the surveillance footage?"
Xavier nodded.
"Unbelievable. You can guard against thieves, but not against your own family."
After the incident, Lilith had threatened to jump off a building.
