Beaming widely, Dexter said, "Lilith, since you're being so generous, I won't be stingy either. The price I'm offering is well above market value. Take a look."

Lilith had no real intention of selling, so she merely skimmed it and scoffed. "Dexter, the Sutton Group has secured ties with both the Sterling and Sinclair empires. With those two massive ships backing us, our stock price could easily quadruple. And this is all you're offering? If you're not serious, the deal is off."

Dexter didn't lose his temper. He personally pointed to the purchase amount. "Lilith, look closer. Isn't this exactly quadruple?"

Lilith focused her eyes on the numbers and realized he was right.

She hadn't expected Dexter to show such immense sincerity.

But knowing this was her absolute last trump card, no matter how tempted she felt, she couldn't sell.

"I'm sorry, Dexter. The price is still too low."

Dexter's smile vanished, replaced by a cold edge. "Lilith, do you find it amusing to play people for fools?"

Lilith offered a placating, radiant smile. "Dexter, you misunderstand. I genuinely think the offer is too low. The Sutton stock is guaranteed to skyrocket. You're going to be incredibly wealthy from this, so throwing me just this much is a bit stingy, don't you think?"

Dexter sneered. "You say it's going to skyrocket? If it's going up, why not keep it for yourself?"

Right at that moment, a waiter opened the door to serve the food, and Scarlett pushed Bennett in his wheelchair past the doorway.

Lilith's lips curled into a smirk, relief washing over her. She had won this psychological war after all.

Dexter was grinning from ear to ear. He grabbed the pen, signed his own name, and slid it over to Lilith.

"After you, Lilith."

Lilith took the pen, but her eyes remained locked on Bennett.

To her shock, Bennett gestured for Scarlett to push him away.
