What Bennett didn't realize was that the police were already standing right behind him as he spat out his confession.

They arrested him on the spot.

As he was being dragged away, he saw Summer walk over to Leila and embrace her. "Mom," she called out.

Everything finally clicked in Bennett's mind. Summer had orchestrated this entire trap.

Even Scarlett was working for her!

Bennett glared furiously at Scarlett. "You bitch! Didn't I treat you well? I bought you everything you ever wanted, and I even gave you one percent of the Sutton Group!"

Scarlett gently stroked her stomach. "Stop yelling, you're scaring your son. If you want him to be born safely and grow up healthy, you'd better build up some good karma. Confess every dirty deed you've ever committed to the police."

"My son?" Bennett let out a dark, mocking laugh. "You slut. God knows who you've been sleeping around with. There's no way that's my kid."

"Ha!" Scarlett scoffed, practically trembling with rage as she pointed a finger at him. "Bennett, you sick bastard. I worked myself to the bone taking care of you every single day. I barely left your sight for twenty-four hours at a time. Where the hell would I even find the time to cheat on you?"

"What, you got what you wanted and now you're playing dumb? Do I need to jog your memory? Do I need to remind you how you popped those pills despite your injuries, pinned me down, and took me over and over again without protection?"

The surrounding police officers fell into an awkward silence.

"If you don't want this boy, I'll go to the clinic and get rid of him right now! You can die without an heir for all I care!"

Scarlett knew exactly why he had been taking those pills. He wanted to get her pregnant. He was desperate for a son.

She knew better than anyone just how badly he wanted an heir to carry on his name.

Bennett took the bait instantly. "You're really carrying my son?"

"Do I need to get a paternity test? You piece of trash! You sold your own flesh and blood to traffickers. A monster like you deserves to have your bloodline end here!"

As the officers shoved him into the back of the cruiser, Bennett stared at Leila and asked the police, "Leila didn't die?"

"No," an officer replied flatly. "When the fire broke out, her daughter, Ms. Vance, rescued her. She's been receiving treatment in the States ever since."

All involved parties headed to the precinct.
