After Summer's group finished their meal, Jude drove Summer and Leo.
Summer didn't decline the offer.
Summer took the wheel, while Jude and Leo sat in the back, intensely debating an advanced math problem.
The car drove straight toward South Bay Manor.
Jude's car wasn't registered in the security system, so they were stopped. The security guard approached, and Summer rolled down the window for facial recognition.
After passing the guardhouse, Leo asked, confused, "Mom, why are we back here?"
"To pick out a car."
Ten minutes later, in the underground garage of South Bay Manor.
The garage was luxuriously furnished, fully illuminated, and packed with luxury cars.
Jude was a car enthusiast, which was the only reason he tagged along to 'broaden his horizons'.
"As expected of Empire City's top billionaire. Look at all these rides." Jude stared longingly at one car and gently stroked another.
Leo asked, "Mom, which one do you want to drive?"
Summer didn't know much about cars. She turned to Jude. "Do you know which one is the most expensive?"
Summer ended up pointing directly at the priciest one—the Scarlet Wraith. According to Jude, it was a globally limited, hand-crafted model with only three in existence, priced at millions of dollars.
Jude stared at the car with sheer envy. "Summer, if you drive this out on the streets, you'll look incredible. Suddenly, my G-Wagon feels like a toy. Nope, I've got to go home and tell my dad to work harder. He's only in his sixties, the prime of his life! He needs to grind so I can be the ultimate trust-fund kid!"
Leo tugged at Jude's sleeve. "Wild Dad, you're only twenty, the prime of your life! You need to grind so I can be the ultimate trust-fund kid!"
Jude was speechless. He hadn't expected his own logic to boomerang back and hit him in the face.
Summer laughed and patted Jude on the shoulder, joking, "You'd better work hard, Jude. My son is banking on you to make him a billionaire heir! Hahaha..."
Summer took the phone. "Need something?"
Xavier fixated on the detail. "You didn't save my number?"
"What happened to your phone before? You suddenly 'lost' my number. The exact same thing happened to mine." Summer couldn't be bothered to explain and just used his own excuse to shut him up.
Xavier assumed Summer was acting out of jealousy and decided not to argue. He said sternly, "Drive that car back and pick another one. You can take any other car in the garage."
Summer replied, "But I like this one."
That car had been specially ordered by Xavier for Lily. It was supposed to be the lead wedding car for their ceremony.
The car's color was Lily's favorite shade of red, and her name was even custom-stitched into the interior.
It was fully hand-crafted and customized exclusively for Lily.
Xavier softened his tone, coaxing her patiently, "That car is meant to be our wedding car. Be a good girl. Drive it back and pick a different one."
