Elmer blurted out, his light brown eyes wide with shock. “I’ve seen this on the Optical Brain!

“It’s the legendary pinnacle mutant. The fruit is said to contain incredibly gentle and pure energy, which can directly enhance psychic power and the very core of supernatural abilities!

“This… this is way more valuable than a regular blueberry tree, at least a hundred times over!”

Hearing this, Dora quickly pulled up the Optical Brain to look up the info.

The Starvein Blueberry Tree’s conditions for growth were insanely strict, it needed to be at the intersection of a pure crystal energy field and a special earth vein, and after more than a hundred years, there was only a tiny chance it would mutate.

Clive understood instantly, his eyes sweeping the area with vigilance. “They’re guarding this precious thing, just waiting for the fruit to be perfectly ripe.”

“Guess we’re the lucky ones here,” Dora said with a smile.

“That’s not all,” Lioren said, leaping down from the tree and gently digging away the soil at the base of the roots with his claws.

As the top layer of soil was cleared away, a dazzling sight was revealed beneath.

Between the tangled roots, countless crystals shimmered with a deep blue glow, packed together so densely it was almost overwhelming.

Some were as small as a fingernail, others as big as a fist. They were scattered among the roots like stars, casting the whole pit in an otherworldly, underwater glow.

“Crystal ore…” Dora crouched down and carefully picked up a piece.

The ore felt gentle and warm in her hand, energy pulsing within. “But this isn’t a ore vein. It looks like someone deliberately brought these here and buried them.”

After a closer look, Clive said, “It was those two Shadow Demon Beasts. They probably have some instinct to collect crystal ore and stash it here, which ended up mutating this blueberry tree into a Starvein Blueberry Tree.”

Rafe nodded. “That adds up. Shadow Demon Beasts are Pinnacle Level 6 mutated alien beasts, they’re actually one of the intelligent mutated alien beast types.

“These ores must have been gathered from somewhere else and purposely buried here by them.

“These crystal ores…” Rafe did a quick count. “Let’s keep them for our own use, and tomorrow we’ll keep searching for the

ore vein.”

Dora fel a rush of joy, but quickly steadied herself. “Let’s stash these quickly, move fast. The Shawn family and the military could double back at any moment.”

They searched every inch within a 70 feet radius and managed to dig up more than thirty crystal ores, ranging in size, even the smallest ones were as big as walnuts.

All of them were stashed away in Dora’s stasis space,

“Jackpot…” Elmer gulped, his eyes shining with excitement.

“We shouldn’t linger here,” Clive scanned the horizon, alert. “Let’s move out. We can’t risk going back to the temporary camp, better find a hidden spot to hole up and recover.”

“The military and Cassian’s crew could show up any minute. Rafe’s injuries need to be taken care of properly, and we’re all running on fumes,” he added.

Using the cover of the terrain and trees, they quietly slipped out of the area, making their way toward a secluded spot in the mountains they’d already marked on their map.

Half an hour after Dora’s team left, Cassian, the military squad Kael dispatched, the rest of their trusted followers, and Wendy made their way back to the area.

They had just joined forces to take down the Shadow Demon Beast, but the battle was savage, three out of the five trusted followers Kael sent were killed.

One of Wendy’s Level 4 beast mates was also killed.

Because of that, her Spatial Realm, which had been at Primary Level 3, dropped down to Moderate Level 2.

The Shadow Demon Beast didn’t yield a crystal core, so Wendy quietly stored the corpse in her stasis space, telling herself that at least she got something out of it.

Even Cassian wasn’t spared, his left arm was torn open by the beast’s dying counterattack, the wound so deep one could see the bone

The group hurried back to the blueberry tree, still clinging to hope, at least there was that rare and precious mutated blueberry tree waiting for them.
