Chapter 55
When they walked out of the kegistration point, the tearn was charged with fighting spirit.
Dora said, “Let’s move. Target, Windscar Ravine.”
Dora smiled and waved a hand. She and Mindy walked ahead shoulder to shoulder, close and familiar, while the males followed behind them with imposing confidence.
The gathering point for Windscar Ravine was set on a broad stretch of gravel. An energy barrier separated the competition zone from the surrounding area.
Dozens of teams had already arrived. They stood in small clusters, checking their equipment and murmuring strategies The air was taut with pressure and competition.
The moment Dora’s group entered the gathering point, countless eyes turned toward them.
The two females walked side by side at the front. One was striking and almost otherworldly in her beauty, while the other had a bright, carefree charm. The males behind them drew just as much attention.
They all wore matching dark gray Level 4 combat suits. The fine material and tailored cut made each of them look sharp. capable, and full of spirit.
Most striking of all was the little black–and–white cat crouched on the shoulder of the beautiful female at the front.
Its amber eyes swept sharply across the entire field. Its body was small, yet it carried a pressure that could not be ignored. “Look, another team just showed up. They’ve got a serious presence.”
“That team doesn’t look easy to mess with.”
“That cat. It’s tiny, but it feels intense.”
Whispers rose all around them.

In the VIP section of the stands, two elegant females sat side by side. They were Vivienne and Cassian’s mother. Regina Shawn.
Behind Vivienne stood Felix Southwell, who had come along to watch the drama unfold. He was Do’s third brother and the brother closest to her.
Beside them sat Cassian’s father, Kael. His son, the pride of his life, was entering a major interstellar challenge tournaineist for the first time, so Kael had to be there to cheer him on.
Regina spotted Dora first. “Well, look at that. Isn’t that the adopted daughter your family kicked out?”
Vivienne followed the entering teams with her gaze and saw Dora too. She did not answer She only watched Dora in

After Dora had left home, she had blocked Vivienne and the rest of the family on her neutral link
Vivienne had regretted it ever since. She should not have lost control that day she should not have driven Dora out
Over the past few days, she had barely eaten or slept. She had searched everywhere and still had not found any trace of

From the look of it, Dora was doing all right.
A faint look of relief softened Vivienne’s face.
Felix saw Dora as well, and surprise flashed across his face. He turned toward Vivienne at once.

When he saw that Vivienne said nothing and showed no emotion, he swallowed the words that had almost left his mouth. There were outsiders here. They could not let other people know too much about their family.
The whole city knew that Dora had been driven out of the Southwell family because the Shaw’r family had leaked the story after Dora was accused of kidnapping Cassian.
Regina’s tactless voice sounded again. “Your adopted daughter really does have a talent for fooling men with that pretty face. Wherever she goes, she finds some fool willing to follow her.”
Vivienne followed Regina’s gaze and pointed in Dora’s direction. “Among the boys behind her, I think I see your sweet little son. What was his name again?”
Felix, answered at once. “Elmer.”
Vivienne nodded. “Right, right. That boy has loved following Dora since he was little. He really is loyal to the end. A decent, devoted child.”
Vivienne’s words carried more than one meaning.
Regina’s face filled with contempt. “He has been useless since he was a child. A while ago, he insisted on following your adopted daughter, so I cut ties with him.”
That still did not seem to satisfy her, so she added, “What future can two losers have together? In the end, everyone still has to look at our Cassian.”
Vivienne gave a faint smile and said nothing. She ignored Regina and quietly kept her eyes on Dora. Her gaze was filled with a mother’s longing for her child.
Inside the venue, Cassian and Iris stood in a conspicuous spot not far away, surrounded by a crowd.
Cassian wore a custom scarlet combat suit that made his tall frame look even sharper, though the faint scar os his face marred what had once been a strikingly handsome appearance.
Iris stood beside him in a pure white battle dress adorned with crystals. She looked delicate, harmless, and almost painfully innocent.
Behind them stood six or seven well–dressed young males with the same arrogant air. They were Cassian’s childhood friends.
Aside from Iris, there was another young female in the group. She looked even younger, with pretty features and ey remained fixed on Cassian the entire time.
It was easy to tell that this was a group of spoiled heirs teaming up for their first trial
The moment Dora and the others appeared, Cassian and Iris both looked over.
Surprise flashed through Iris‘ eyes. She had not expected to see Dora here
