Chapter 412 Move Your Hand
Chapter 412 Move Your Hand
He was afraid Lynn would remember what happened that night. Then work called him away carly the ex morning, and he’d been gone ever since.
Lynn never mentioned anything about that night. She’d probably been too drunk to remember what Lucas had done.
That night, Lucas hadn’t slept well in the guest room at all. No wonder Lynn preferred the sofa-that bed was painfully uncomfortable.
He’d ordered this new bed the same day he left.
This way, Lynn wouldn’t have to suffer. Or maybe it would be convenient for the future.
Just then, three taps on the door sounded.
Lynn jumped. She quickly turned off the light.
What does Lucas want at this hour?
Her heart was pounding.
“Ms. Murphy, I need a hand. It’s bleeding,” Lucas said softly from the other side of the door.
Lynn paused, debating whether to go out. But that large waterproof bandage meant the wound was probably serious.
She tiptoed to the peephole and peeked out.
Lucas stood there frowning, one hand braced against the doorframe, the other pressed against his injury.
After a two-second internal debate, she opened the door.
“What happened?” she asked quietly.
“Bumped into something,” he said with a faint smile.
Lucas noticed the light in her room was off. She hadn’t turned it on to answer the door, which meant she’d just switched it off. She’d even forgotten to turn it back on.
Bumped into something?
Since when is he so clumsy?
I bet he did it on purpose.
Lynn glanced at him, the heat still lingering in her cheeks.
Lucas wasn’t wearing a shirt. This was the first time she’d seen him this close. She could almost feel the warmth radiating from him.

“Where’s your first aid kit?” Lynn asked, closing her door behind her.
“In my room,” Lucas smiled.
Lynn fell silent.
I should have pretended to be asleep. I shouldn’t have opened that door.
“Wait downstairs. I’ll get it,” Lynn said, her face flushing. She avoided looking around.
Lucas stretched out an arm and rested it on her shoulder. “No need for that. It hurts too much to walk har far. Just come to my room.”
Lynn said, “That’s not really appropriate, I…”
“I’m not going to eat you.” His voice dropped lower. He leaned a bit of his weight on her, gently guiding her toward his room.
Lynn hunched her shoulders slightly, unsure if she should help support him.
A doctor’s duty is to heal. A doctor shouldn’t see gender.
But Lucas was the kind of man who could make anyone lose focus.
He was like a perfect model.
“Ms. Murphy, why is your face so red?” Lucas asked, amused.
“The wine,” she mumbled, following him into his room.
Lucas closed the door behind them.
Lynn’s heart skipped a beat.
“Is that so?” he asked.
Lynn didn’t respond.
You can shut up now.
Lucas lay down on the bed, letting out a soft groan.
Lynn felt a shiver run down her spine.
She opened the first aid kit, took out gauze, iodine, and large cotton swabs, and set them aside.
“Move your hand,” Lynn said, tapping the back of his hand.
Lucas let go.
Lynn carefully lifted the bandage. The wound on his abdomen was a knife slash-she could tell at a glance

The stitches were rough, as if he’d done them himself.
Luckily, i had been healing well until he reopened it.
“Are you worried about me?” Lucas asked.
The question caught Lynn off guard.
She wasn’t sure. Seeing him injured made her feel awful-a strange mix of worry and fear.
“I’m a doctor. It’s my job to care about patients,” she said.
“Yeah,” Lucas smiled.

He had his eyes closed, as if exhausted.
Lynn sat on the edge of the bed, openly studying him.
Lucas had one of those trustworthy, handsome faces-the kind you never tired of looking at. Gordon on said that, judging by his features, Lucas was a good man who would treat his wife well.
Gordon was usually spot-on about people. He’d matched quite a few couples successfully. Lynn wasn’t sure she believed in that sort of thing. Fate and fortune-telling were hit or miss for her.
When Gordon tried to set Lynn up with Lucas, she had resisted. She’d never been in a relationship beren From childhood, she’d focused on one thing: studying medicine.
