Damian said nothing. Brian had just dropped Diana off at the studio and had come back complaining to Damian that Isabelle was off playing, leaving Diana to handle everything alone.

Isabelle wasn’t at the studio. She was clearly lying.

Damian asked softly, “Are you still coming over today?”

Isabelle suddenly remembered she was supposed to go to work with him at the company. “I’ll be over in a bit,” she said.

Damian made an acknowledging sound. He was about to ask something else when he suddenly heard Anthony’s voice on the phone.

“Isabelle…” Anthony had just looked up and seen Isabelle on the phone. He quickly stopped what he was about to say.

Isabelle spoke to Damian on the phone, “Okay, I’ll be there in a bit.”

Damian was silent for several seconds on the other end. “Okay,” he said.

Isabelle hung up and walked over to Anthony. “What’s wrong?” she asked.

Anthony put down his tools. “I’m missing a part. I’ll go out and look for it. Don’t wait around here. I’ll let you know when it’s fixed. It shouldn’t be a problem.”

Isabelle breathed a sigh of relief. Although she’d already ordered a new one online, it would be even better if this old one could actually work. But she wasn’t planning on returning the new one.

“Thank you, Anthony,” Isabelle said, leaving the villa key with him.

After hanging up, Damian sat stunned in his chair, staring at the name “Honey” on his phone for a long time.
