Chapter 622 Red Roses
Lynn, felt a tingling warmth at the corners of her mouth.
She closed her eyes, thinking they were abroad and unrecognized.
Before she could savor the moment, Lucas pinched her cheek, grinning. “You little minx.”
Lynn blushed. “Don’t call me that.”

Lucas smiled, took her hand, and got into a car that had appeared beside them without her noticing.
As soon as she sat in the back seat, Lucas still held her hand tightly. The gesture made Lynn glance back at
him.
She looked up and asked softly, “You watched the movie?”
“I did.”
“And the book…”
“I read that too.”
It seemed Lucas could read her mind. Even when she casually mentioned the movie, he knew which one
she meant.
The driver in the front seat watched them in the rearview mirror. Their adoring gazes toward each other were overflowing.
Lucas kissed the back of Lynn’s hand, sending another wave of tingles through her.
Suddenly aware of the driver watching them, she flushed.
Has the driver been following them the whole time?
She’d been so focused on Lucas that she hadn’t noticed anyone or any car behind them.
She slid over. Lucas sat down next to her.
“Where are we going?” Lynn asked seriously again.
Lucas answered just as seriously, “Biltmore Estate. Pemberley Manor.”
Lynn looked at him intently. “Are you serious?”
“I’m serious.”
“They probably won’t let us in this late. It’s almost closing time.”
Lynn had done her research before coming. Even though she couldn’t fit it into her schedule, this place she longed for was nearby. Of course she paid attention.

Lucas curved his lips and whispered in her ear, “Your husband is pretty impressive in other ways too.”
Last night in the bathroom, Lynn had told Lucas he was impressive.
Lynn fell silent, letting him brag.
But to her surprise, Lucas wasn’t bragging. He really took her into the Pemberley Manor she’d been dreaming about.
She pressed her face against the window as the car drove through the estate. The afternoon sun filtered through the trees and fell on her face, her hair.
Lucas watched her back, oblivious to everything else.
“If we’d come this morning, we could’ve explored,” Lynn said, regret in her voice but joy on her face.
Just being able to come at all was already good.
“We’ll get up early tomorrow. I’ll bring you again.” Lucas played with her hair from behind.
Lynn turned to look at him.
If she hadn’t sprayed that stupid stuff last night, Lucas would have taken her through the whole estate today.
That thing really held them up!
“We can come again tomorrow?” Lynn asked.
“Yes,” he replied.
“Did you pay someone off?”
“I didn’t pay anyone,” he chuckled.
Lynn leaned closer, cupping his face. “Hubby, I had no idea you had this kind of clout.”
She squished his cheeks together and gave him a peck.
Then she turned back around, leaned on the window, and stuck her hand out to feel the evening breeze of Engster.
Lucas touched his lips. His face was flushed again. His heart was pounding wildly.
Lynn had just called him “hubby.”
That term struck him.
Aside from her playful remarks last night, it was the first time since their wedding that she used it.

Chapter 622 Red Roses
His heart was racing abnormally fast.
When the car stopped, they were near the fountain.
All the tourists had left the estate. Sunset was creeping in. The fountain was still running, and only a few scattered sheep wandered around.
The scene left Lynn in awe, filling her with calmness.
She gazed silently at the estate. Her palm felt warm.
Lucas reached for her hand. Lynn looked up and met his deep eyes.
Lucas rested his forehead against hers. A ray of sunset passed between their noses, witnessing their embrace and kiss.
