Chapter 634 Unwilling to Marry
Chapter 634 Unwilling to Marry
Daisy shot Joseph a look that clearly communicated, “Shut up.”
Joseph nodded, conceding, “You win!”
He didn’t say anything, but he had a feeling Anthony treated her differently.
Anthony had always been a loner, unwilling to talk to anyone.
Adrian felt somewhat comforted hearing Daisy say that.

Priscilla suggested gently, “After Christmas, bring him home to meet us. Or have him spend Christmas with us.”
When Daisy heard this, her hand trembled and the spoon fell into the bowl.
Priscilla didn’t notice and continued. “I heard he and his younger sister are the only ones left in his family. Since his sister will go to her boyfriend for the Christmas, he’ll be all alone at home. It’s rather pitiful.
“Our family may not be wealthy or high–ranking, nor do we have as much money as he does, but since he’s taken a liking to you, and the two of you have been together for nearly half a year, it would be nice for us to meet him.”
Adrian nodded in agreement, adding, “That sounds good.”
Caught between them. Daisy kicked Joseph under the table, urging him to speak.
Joseph looked helpless. I want to meet Anthony too.
Daisy pressed her lips together.
Priscilla asked, “Ivy, what do you think?”
Daisy ate slowly and said, “He… doesn’t really like crowds.”
“It’s not just about crowds. We need to meet him.”
“I’ll ask him,” she said, burying her face in her soup.
Adrian added, “I’ll ask him. Girls tend to be shyer, so Ivy might not feel comfortable bringing it up.”
Daisy quickly interjected, “No need! I’ll ask. I’ll ask him tonight.”
Joseph smirked.
Priscilla agreed, “Alright, let the young people decide. No need to rush.”
Adrian muttered, “You always spoil her.”

Daisy knew she had to get out of this meal fast. If she stayed, they’d be writing wedding invitations on the spot.
She never expected a sudden rear–end collision. And she’d ended up rear–ending Anthony’s car,
It really was a wild coincidence.
She’d thought the Anthony situation had died down. Her family hadn’t mentioned him in a while. Now they were asking again.
But the truth was, Daisy had never even really met Anthony. He’d been her “boyfriend” for nearly six months.
It was like a long–distance online romance.
She quickly finished her meal and asked Joseph to drive her to the Westperch Hotel.
“Do you want me to pick you up tonight?” he asked.
Irritated, she replied, “No, I’m going back to my own place.”
If she went home tonight, Adrian would be hounding her before morning about whether Anthony would spend Christmas with them.
It was giving her a massive headache.
Six months ago, when her ad agency made good money, Daisy bought herself a large penthouse. It was fully renovated, had aired out for months, furnished and equipped. Sometimes when she came home late, she stayed there.
Her parents knew.
Their daughter was grown and had a boyfriend. They didn’t have much say.
Joseph looked at her and found it funny. It really seemed like the two of them were actually dating.
“Alright. Just be careful. Your door code is too simple. Change it soon. Who uses a code of just zeros anymore?”
Daisy pouted. “Mind your own business. You didn’t help me earlier, and now you’re suddenly concerned?”
“I was helping you. It’s for your own good. You’ve been dating your boyfriend for a while. It’s time to meet the parents.
Daisy whispered, “Mr. Vale doesn’t want to get married.”
She’d heard from Lynn, who got it from Lucas, that Anthony had no plans for marriage.
That was why Daisy felt comfortable using him to fool her family. If he had a girlfriend, she couldn’t tell
such a lie.
