“Otherwise, any other guy would have pulled up his pants and run. Maybe even taken compromising photos before leaving, to use against you later.”
That was true. If Anthony had ulterior motives, Daisy wouldn’t stand a chance.
Lynn wrapped the blanket tighter around her and opened the breakfast on the coffee table.
“Spill it! I’m dying to know!” She handed Daisy a bagel and put a cup of milk next to her.
Lynn couldn’t cook. Daisy hadn’t slept all night. After Daisy tested, Lynn had been afraid she’d collapse so she’d gone out to buy breakfast at that hour.
Daisy didn’t know where to start.
“How did you two end up sleeping together?”
“I don’t know. I accidentally barged into his room. I wanted to leave, but couldn’t. He wanted to call a doctor, but there was no time. So I…”
Lynn stared at her, the bagel untouched in her hand. “So you did sleep with him?”
Daisy nodded.
“Wow!” Lynn was shocked.
“He didn’t want to.”
“Huh?” Lynn burst out laughing. “How could he not want to? Turning down a free gift?”
Daisy’s palms were sweaty as she recalled the incident, her face flushing unnoticed.
Lynn asked, “Then how did he find you just now? Did he call?”
Daisy shook her head. “I don’t know.”
Lynn took a bite of her bagel, listening intently as Daisy recounted their story.
Anthony had followed Lynn here and waited outside all night.
“What are your plans now?” Lynn asked.
“He told me to wait for him for a month.” Daisy was uncertain but wouldn’t let anything interfere with her and the children.
“He’s not getting cosmetic surgery, is he?” Lynn joked, pausing Daisy’s thoughts.
Anthony had always resisted such things. Lucas and Isabelle had tried persuading him to change, but he wouldn’t listen

Chapter 643 Catalyst for Anthony
As Damian said, Anthony needed a catalyst. Otherwise, he’d never change
Daisy fell silent.
Will I be the catalyst for Anthony?
Will these two children be his catalyst?
If so, then I’ve helped him make it happen.

“Don’t tell anyone for now. Let’s wait for him to return.” Daisy didn’t dare make a decision lightly. She wanted to wait a little longer, until he returned.
Lynn nodded in understanding.
They ate breakfast, and then fell asleep together in the bedroom. The next day, they went to the hospital for a full checkup.
Joseph arrived in the afternoon, and Lynn had already cleaned the room.
He frowned, making soup in the kitchen, muttering under his breath.
“Low blood sugar from staying up all night? I told you not to live alone. Last time you fainted, Mr. Vale carried you to the hospital. Who carried you this time?”
Daisy and Lynn sat on the sofa, exchanging glances like two children being scolded.
That night Daisy had called Lynn, she’d also texted Joseph that she had low blood sugar and Lynn was picking her up, so he didn’t need to come.
Joseph believed her. He’d been at the bar, and he’d seen Lynn leave after a call.
Since Lynn was staying over, he stayed away.
Lynn leaned close to Daisy. “Your brother is kind of pitiful.”
“Right? I think so too.”
“He’s been watching your drama from the sidelines. What happens when he finds out it’s real?”
They both smirked.
“Hey! You two! Wash up and eat. What are you laughing at?” Joseph acted like the head of the household.
Daisy, in a good mood, enjoyed a lot of soup.
Under Joseph’s insistence, Daisy reluctantly moved back home, or he would threaten to tell their family.
Knowing Joseph would do it, she had no choice but to agree.
At home, Priscilla still made soup for her every chance she got.
