Harold was twenty–eight now. Looking down at the armful of plush toys he was carrying, he let out a soft chuckle.

Back in the day, he’d always thought arcades were for teenagers and that claw machines were pretty silly- something he’d see young couples doing and just shake his head at.

Harold rubbed her cheek gently, then bent to pick up the toy.

When she finally snapped out of it, she started swatting his arm. “What was that for? Aren’t you embarrassed?”

Claudia huffed, annoyed but flustered.

She had no idea where he’d learned to be so bold, but he was certainly getting good at it.

They played a while longer, until Harold literally couldn’t carry another toy, then decided to head out.

On their way toward the exit, Harold’s eyes landed on something interesting.

Claudia’s eyes widened. She pulled out her phone discreetly and started recording, snapping a few stills for good measure.

Harold kept his voice low. “Had to travel this far to cheat? Worried about getting caught back home?”

They lingered another ten minutes or so, subtly tailing the pair while Zander clutched his new stuffed frog.

Carson and Jessica moved front basketball to a photo booth, leaning close and laughing as the flash weny off.

After they walked away, Harold slipped over to the booth before the session expired and printed a duplicate set of their pictures.

When the couple cozied up on a shared motorcycle racing game, Claudia caught them holding hands between shifts.

“Having more fun than I ever did,” Harold remarked under his breath.

He said it lightly, but the edge in his voice was clear.

The three finally left the arcade–Claudia carrying Zander, Harold loaded down with plush toys.

“Should we send this to her?” Claudia asked quietly once they were outside.

“No, I never got it earlier.”

She hadn’t even thanked Dolores properly for her help the other day.

Harold smirked. “Then send it to my brother.”

“To Harvey?” Claudia looked confused. “Why?”

Harold didn’t elaborate.

It bugged him how alone Harvey seemed lately.

And he’d noticed the way Harvey looked at Dolores–different, attentive.
