Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1773

“Princess syndrome? How bad is it? If it’s that serious, then you two can just move out. If she wants to act all high and mighty, let her do it at your place, not here. I can’t deal with that.” After all, it’s his son’s life—parents shouldn’t butt in too much.

Madison’s nagging didn’t bother Aaron at all. “How do you even know Cooper isn’t dating someone? What if he is, and just doesn’t want to tell you?”

Madison picked up on something in her husband’s voice and pressed him for details. “Wait, are you saying Cooper’s got something going on? Spill it!”

Aaron honestly wasn’t sure, but he quietly shared what he’d seen: on their grandson’s first day of school, their son had disappeared from the crowd to make a sneaky phone call. “He even tried to secretly record Henry with his phone. Who do you think he’s sending it to? It’s like he can’t get enough of the kid.”

Madison chuckled. “Well, would you look at that.”

When Mia brought her family over to stay at the Cedillos’ for a few days, Madison pulled her aside. “Mia, is Cooper seeing someone?”

Mia gave her a look. “Mom, why are you asking me that?”

“Your dad thinks Cooper’s got a girlfriend and just hasn’t told us yet.” Madison shared the latest family gossip.

Mia had tried to bring it up with her mom before, but Madison hadn’t caught her drift. “Mom, if Cooper hasn’t said anything, maybe he’s still figuring it out. Don’t you and Dad go getting all excited for nothing.”

Just then, Henry wandered over. “Grandma Madison, what are you and Mom talking about?”

Mia worried her little rascal would yell something like, “Cooper has a girlfriend named Kristen,” and blow the whole thing. “Henry, where’s your dad? Go find Daddy for me.”

Henry dashed off, and two minutes later, he was back, dragging his dad by the hand. “Look, Mom! I found Dad for you!”

Mars didn’t beat around the bush. “I can’t stay long—I only managed to fly here thanks to a friend’s help. I’ll get straight to it: Milka and I want to get back together, but Milka’s worried about you living alone out here. She’s always thinking about you, and honestly, I talked to my uncle—he still cares about you, even after all these years. So, I wanted to ask: what do you want?”

“If you want to be with my uncle again, Milka and I can help you patch things up. But if you just can’t handle him anymore, I’ll figure something else out.”

“I didn’t bring Milka with me because there are things we couldn’t say if she were here. After all, she’s your daughter—you’d both be too worried about her feelings. That’s why it’s just me. This time, just think about yourself. I’ll take care of Milka.”

If Abby decided she didn’t want to get back with Jupiter, she worried Milka would be upset if she heard it out loud.

Mars had breezed through the airport, courtesy of a friend’s diplomatic connections.

Milka had been a little disappointed. “I wish I could go see Mom too. It’s been ages since I last visited.”
