Chapter 105
Aria
Clai
The Red Blood Pack was far beyond what I had imagined, it was enormous, elegant, and just as magnificent as ours back home.
When we arrived, Clara was the first to welcome us. She looked radiant, her pregnancy barely
visible but enough to notice, and beside her stood her young son. He didn’t resemble/her much-his
sharp, commanding features were undoubtedly inherited from his father. From what I had heard,
he was six years old, and the way he looked at me made me stifle a laugh. It was that curious,
cautious gaze that said, “Mom, who is this stranger?”
Though Clara and I had kept in touch after that incident, it had only ever been through occasional
calls. I had spoken with her husband a handful of times, but never with their son. Seeing him now,
standing so still and serious, I couldn’t help but feel a swell of affection. That boy was my grandson and I had always had a soft spot for children.
“Welcome,” Clara said warmly, embracing me gently. “I hope the journey wasn’t too exhausting?”
I smiled, touched by her familiar kindness. “Oh, not at all. It’s good to step out of one’s comfort
zone every now and then,” I said lightly.
Garfield, my mate, chuckled beside me, his usual easygoing smile on full display. “Yes, it’s nice to
have a change of scenery once in a while.”
Clara grinned. “Thank you for coming too, Garfield. It really means a lot to me.”
He waved it off with a laugh. “No, I should be thanking you. I needed this holiday more than you
know.”
We all shared a small laugh before she led us inside. The house was warm and beautifully decorated-her touch was evident everywhere. Clara showed us to our room and mentioned that
once her mate returned, she’d send someone to fetch us for dinner.
As she spoke, I caught her son’s intense stare again. His gaze didn’t waver, his expression unreadable. Clara turned and noticed, smiling fondly. “This is Mrs. Wilfred,” she told him softly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
The boy bowed slightly in greeting, his manners precise for someone so young. I chuckled. “Oh, is he a shy one?”
Clara burst into laughter. “You caught him!”
Her son’s cheeks turned slightly pink. “No, I’m not,” he said stubbornly, his voice small but firm.

I couldn’t help the warmth that spread through my chest. This boy will be a fine alpha someday, thought.
“Well then, that’s a good boy,” I said kindly. “I brought so many gifts for you, would you like to see
them?”
His eyes lit up instantly, his earlier reserve fading away as he nodded eagerly. And for the first time since our arrival, a genuine smile spread across his face.
When evening fell, the maids came to escort us to the dining hall, where their Alpha, his Luna and their son were waiting.
I’d seen him in tabloids and magazines, but up close he was on another level, the pictures did him no justice. He was huge; his red hair, green eyes that seemed to sparkle, the little dots on his face, and the well-shaped lips, everything about him was breathtaking. Clara had truly scored herself a good man, and their son clearly took after him.
When he saw us he rose, tall, towering over everyone. “Welcome to the Red Blood Pack,” he
greeted, and Garfield and I bowed. “It’s a pleasure meeting you in person,” Garfield said for both of
Dinner went smoothly, with light conversation here and there. Now I could see where the little
one’s shyness came from: his father, though massive and stern-voiced, didn’t hold people’s eyes long, and the boy had taken after that quiet reserve.
“How are Osborne and Aina?” Clara asked. I clapped my hands, smiling. “They’re both fine, and Ainal wanted to come, but you know her stubborn husband – he won’t let her out of his sight,” I answered, and Clara laughed. “Oh, Osborne owes my husband a fight,” she teased, looking at Abel. “Doesn’t
he, Abel?” she asked, and he nodded.
“He does?” Garfield asked, surprised. Clara explained, “Yes, they’ve agreed that when they meet, they’ll go one on one.” Garfield chuckled and glanced at Abel.
“Well, Alpha Maximus,” Garfield said with a grin to Abel, “you might be bigger than that lad, but be cautious, that guy is a beast.” He praised his son-in-law openly.
Abel chuckled back. “Well, I’m a beast too,” he said with a grin that said he welcomed the challenge. Garfield nodded, then added, “I saw him fight once” and Abel’s eyes widened in curiosity “I was in awe of how big his wolf was and how he moved despite his size. In the whole of the North, I can guarantee no one has beaten him; that’s why people think the other alphas before him were weak, he made them look that way.”
I nodded as he spoke, it was true. Alpha Osborne had a reputation as a killer wolf, but what held him back was his heart; he gave second chances, though never to anyone who harmed his family

or even thought of it.
“If that’s so, it makes me want to fight him more,” Abel said with a grin.
“Oh, how I wish I could be there to witness it,” I said enthusiastically, and Clara smiled.

“My father will win for sure,” Junior declared confidently, and we all laughed, let the child keep his
faith in his dad.
After the meal, Abel excused himself, carrying their son in his arms, and Garfield also retired to the
room, escorted by one of the maids.
“Let’s go have a small talk,” Clara suggested softly once the men had gone, her tone both casual
and inviting. I followed her as she led me into a cozy waiting room down the hall. The lights were
dimmed low, the air warm, and the faint scent of lavender hung in the room. She gestured for me
to sit, and we took seats across from each other, her posture calm, yet her eyes told me she had
questions waiting.
