Klaus
Cland
Now that his wife is back, everything has become more complicated. His hold on the title- something I have been working for years to destabilize-will be harder to challenge. If the elders take one good look at her and find her impressive, then I’m finished.
No, I can’t afford that.
I have to act fast and act smart. There’s no time to waste, not even a second.
“Come in, Sinclair,” I called, my voice echoing through the room.
He hurried in almost immediately. “Alpha Klaus,” he greeted, head bowed low like the useless mutt he is. “I’m afraid… it all failed. The assassin sent didn’t return, and no report was brought back.”
Pathetic.
Absolutely pathetic.
Is it until I do everything myself before something gets done? Must I be the one handling every single thing before I can finally get rid of that idiot? I should have ended him the moment I had the chance. I should have slit his throat along with his father’s and taken this pack as my birthright.
But no, back then I underestimated him.
Back then he was just a spoiled, soft child-easy to manipulate, easy to predict. I didn’t know he’d grow into this calculating bastard who manages to outplay everyone. If I had known, I never would have suggested sending him to the white tower.
My biggest mistake.
I thought the white tower would break him… or at the very least make him easier to kill. Instead, he came back smarter, harder, and far more dangerous than before. It was a miscalculation I cannot
undo.
“Send another one, Sinclair,” I snapped sharply. “You think one person failing is a good enough
excuse for you to come dragging your feet into my presence?”
He flinched at my tone-coward.
I stepped closer, lowering my voice with lethal calm. “If you want your daughter to live a normal life in my household and not become a slave, you’ll do everything I tell you.”
His eyes lifted for the first time, panic clear, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip. “Yes, Alpha.”

Side Story 36-1
Useless man.
Clain
A spineless, trembling werewolf-too weak to serve me in anything important. But every man has a weakness, and his is that daughter of his. I’ll use her to keep him obedient. If anything goes wrong, he’ll take the fall. He’ll be my scapegoat.
He bowed again and left quickly, the door closing behind him. Watching him walk away only annoyed me more.
If he doesn’t act fast enough…
Then I’ll have to handle this myself.
Because my patience is running thin.
Clara
It’s been two whole months-two months since Abel began avoiding me since that day, I didn’t
know it would be this worse. And every single day since I came back has been packed with
lessons, training, meetings, responsibilities-everything except a proper chance to see him. But
still, not even one greeting? Not one word?
How dare he.
I’ve decided today that I’ll go to him myself. Enough is enough. If he wants to act like I don’t exist,
then he will explain it to my face. I’m done pretending not to care.
And as if Abel’s avoidance wasn’t enough to irritate me, there’s also Pamela-walking around with
her shoulders raised as if she’s the Luna of this pack. I don’t know what has gotten into her lately,
but she’s been acting bold, too bold. Sometimes she even looks at me like she’s the one in charge.
I’ve been ignoring her only because I don’t want to embarrass her or use my authority
unnecessarily. But she’s pushing it. And I know myself-once my patience runs out, there will be
nothing stopping me from reminding her exactly who the Luna is here.
Soon, very soon, she’ll learn her place if she keeps up the act.
For now, I have only one mission:
Find Abel.
As the lecture for the day finally wrapped up, Mr. Wallace stepped toward me with that calm, confident gait of his. “You’ve been doing so well, Luna,” he praised, walking beside me as we exited the room in steady steps.
