Out of sheer generosity, I tried to extend a hand to Helio’s so-called human mate. But it seems she is just as stubborn and foolish as the man she’s tied to. Very well. If she refuses my goodwill, then. she will receive none of my mercy either. She needs to understand exactly what she has gotten

Still, my biggest concern is Helio himself.

Lately, he has been moving in the shadows far too often for my liking. His actions have become secretive, deliberate… almost calculating. Ever since that cursed power awakened inside him, he has grown far more confident, more arrogant, even. The timid boy he once was is long gone. Now he carries himself like someone who truly believes nothing can touch him.

That change irritates me.

Which is why I must be careful.

Whatever I do next must be executed flawlessly. I cannot afford mistakes. Every move must be swift, clean, and impossible to trace back to me. Even if Helio and Danae would naturally suspect me, suspicion alone means nothing without proof.

Helio’s mate must be removed from the picture.

And quickly.

But before that happens, I need a solid plan.

The last time I met with Uncle Calisto, he assured me he would take care of the situation himself. He told me to wait and allow things to unfold naturally under his supervision.

Unfortunately for him, patience has never been my greatest virtue.

I have already waited long enough to claim what is rightfully mine. The position of Luna belongs to me, and I will not allow anyone-especially not that disgusting, oversized excuse for a woman-to

steal it away.

That title is mine.

I have sacrificed far too much to secure it.

Every action I’ve taken… every secret I’ve buried… every lie I’ve spun has been done for one purpose, to ensure that my son eventually rises to the position that should have always been his.

son of the late Alpha Julio.

But that problem will disappear soon enough.

discover that the late Alpha Julio fathered a bastard.

And time is no longer on my side.

Calisto’s plan is moving too slowly for my liking. Helio could reveal the truth about everything at any moment now that he sits on the Alpha’s throne. If that happens before I act, everything I’ve

worked for could crumble overnight.

I must move first.

“Anna,” I called.

My personal assistant entered my room almost immediately, as she always did whenever I

summoned her.

“You encountered Helio’s mate yesterday,” I said, placing my teacup on the table before me and

studying Anna carefully. “Tell me something honestly… does she look like an easy target?”

Anna didn’t hesitate.

“To be truthful, Madam, she seemed like any ordinary human,” she replied calmly. “Weak. Vulnerable. Easy to eliminate.”

Her confidence made me smile slightly.

“Just give the order,” she continued, “and I assure you the job will be done before anyone realizes what happened.”

I nodded slowly.

“Yes… but we cannot underestimate her mate,” I said, absentmindedly chewing on my fingernail.

Why now, of all times, did Helio have to awaken that cursed power inside him?

Anna seemed to understand my concern.

“You’re right, Madam,” she agreed. “From what I’ve heard, the security around her has been

strengthened.”

I lifted my eyes to meet hers.

“But,” she added with a faint smirk, “if they slip even once… even for a moment… we can finish the

job before anyone notices.”

I trust Anna. I trust all the people who work under me.

Yet, deep in my gut, something uneasy twisted inside me.

A quiet voice whispered that targeting Helio’s mate might bring consequences far worse than I

anticipated.

But intuition is nothing more than a feeling.

And feelings have never stopped me before.

“But Madam…” Anna spoke again, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I stopped biting my finger and looked at her.

“If we do eliminate his mate,” she said carefully, “are you certain the Alpha will marry you afterward? What if he decides to reconcile with his brother’s widow instead and make her Luna?”

My eyes narrowed.

“After all,” Anna continued, “he has made it very clear he has no interest in marrying you.”

Her words made my mind race.

She had a point.

If anything happened to Helio’s mate, he would almost certainly suspect me. And if he wanted to

punish me for it, the easiest way would be to restore Violet to her former position as Luna.

Which means…

Violet would have to disappear too.

My jaw tightened.
