Chapter 62
They all looked genuinely shocked, and truthfully, if I claimed I wasn’t, I’d be lying.
One of my children was destined to be the future Alpha of this pack, and another had become a Luna. It struck me deeply-no matter how far royalty is stripped away, the blood of royalty cannot be erased. It prevails, always, under any circumstance.
“Well, that’s surprising,” Olivia said, her composure never faltering. “We should prepare a proper room for our guest.”
I looked at her then, and once again, the weight of my fortune pressed on me. To have married a woman like Olivia-strong, steady, unshakable. She was the best thing that had ever happened to me. The way she handled matters with such grace and precision never ceased to amaze me.
Why had it taken me so long to see her worth? Perhaps it was because part of me had remained bound to Aria, a woman I had once loved but rejected with nothing more than a letter.
Looking back, I see it clearly-I was a fool. I should be ashamed, through a letter? I know the love we had for each other died a long time ago but even from that broken love, something remarkable had been created. A life. And it is something to be grateful for.
I must own up to my responsibilities. Clara may be grown, independent, no longer needing anything from me-but it is better late than never. Perhaps there is still room for us to find our place as family.
And to think… through her, I now had ties to the Maximus.
“Thank you,” Clara said, her smile calm but resolute. “But I don’t intend to stay too long. My family is waiting for me back home.”
“Then at least allow us to give you a proper farewell,” Osborne replied with a warm smile. Clara’s lips curved wider at him, and Aina chuckled softly at their exchange.
The children seemed to be handling this entire situation far better than their parents.
“Come, let me show you around,” Aina offered. “Even though I’m still getting used to this place.” Clara agreed, but before following, she turned her gaze briefly to Aira, her expression unreadable, then walked out alongside Osborne and his wife.
That left only us.
“Thank you for receiving us, Alpha,” Aira’s husband spoke first.
“No-thank you,” I answered honestly. “Thank you for not lashing out at me.”

He gave me a small smile. “I just hope this… revelation doesn’t disrupt the lives of our children
“It won’t,” I assured him. “Aina is as much my child as Osborne is. I’ll see to it myself.”
“If that’s the case, then we’ll be on our way,” Aria said, rising to her feet. “I promised Clara she would see her father. Now that it’s done, there’s no reason to linger.”
“Wait,” Olivia interjected. She turned to Aria’s husband, who studied her for a moment, then gave a
slow nod.
“You and Alpha Owen still have something unresolved,” he said gently to his wife. “Closure.”
He excused himself, and Olivia did the same.
And then there were only the two of us. Alone again. The last time that had happened… it had
ended badly.
I cleared my throat, and her eyes flicked in my direction.
“I don’t think there’s anything I want to say,” she told me, but I knew there was plenty I wanted to
say.
“If you have nothing, then I do,” I replied, rising to my feet. “Please, find it in your heart to forgive me. I’ve come to realize how right your words were. I was selfish, and the way I treated you was nothing short of childish.”
She closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again, giving a small nod.
“It was,” she agreed. “And if you had only read my letters, you would have known about her.”
Her words froze me in place.
“But you didn’t,” she continued, her tone steady. “I figured it was for the best. No, I didn’t hide my pregnancy from you-l had nothing to conceal. And yes, I forgave you a long time ago. If things hadn’t happened the way they did, I wouldn’t have found my mate. So… thank you.” She even
smiled as she said it.
I forced a smile of my own, nodding. “Thank you.”
This was the closure we both needed.
Now I have to handle the media.

I felt victorious – so much that I couldn’t sleep. I went out partying, and anyone who saw me
would’ve thought I was the bride Osborne had married.

I had finally done it. I’d driven a wedge between them, and that revelation was all I needed I could
still picture their faces, stunned and confused. And that fat Aina… she looked completely lost
The memory made me smile. Soon, their marriage would crumble. Imagine having a sibling tied to your mate – pathetic. Their house would fall apart, and Osborne would finally realize it’s only him
and me in this world.
Early the next morning, I rushed to check the news, eager to see the scandal everywhere. But instead, there was silence. No chaos. No storm. Nothing like I’d expected.
Why wasn’t it spreading? Why hadn’t the publisher I paid released it?
I grabbed my phone and called. “Hello ma’am, I was just about to call you,” the man answered nervously. “Our piece wasn’t accepted, and now our company’s at risk of shutting down. I’ll have to
return your money.”
