The Alpha's Chubby Obsession. novel Chapter 81

Chapter 77

Osborne

After our long honeymoon, we finally returned home. The moment my mother saw me, her face lit up with joy, and when her eyes landed on Aina, she grinned mischievously.

“You’d better be pregnant after all the activities you two have been up to,” she teased with a wink:

Aina immediately covered her face, laughing in embarrassment.

“Don’t say that,” she murmured before running inside, and I couldn’t help but laugh.

When the laughter faded, my mother walked beside me, still smiling. “Ah, your father has something he wants to discuss with you. Why don’t you settle in first, then go see him later?”

I tilted my head but nodded anyway. I wondered what it was he wanted to tell me.

“Oh, and by the way,” she added as if remembering something, “did you hear the news?”

“What news?” I asked, half-interested.

She chuckled softly. “Well, I didn’t think you’d have heard yet, but Alpha Hamilton has given Bella up for marriage-to a well-known business mogul werewolf.”

I froze mid-step. “What?” My eyes widened.

But my mother nodded with certainty. “Yes, Osborne. From what we heard, she’s already left

Waterford to live with her husband.”

I nodded slowly as I began walking again. “I see. He probably needs help with his pack and decided to use his crippled daughter as leverage.”

A low laugh escaped me, and I shook my head. Oh, how the great Bella had fallen.

They really shouldn’t have messed with me in the first place.

“Remember to come with Aina too,” my mother reminded me as she turned to leave.

As I walked toward my room, everyone I passed greeted me warmly, but I could sense that something felt different. Aina would already be in the room by now.

“Alpha Osborne,” a maid called out, and I turned to face her.

Technically, I wasn’t Alpha yet-but people had started calling me that which wasn’t odd entirely.

“Um, I’m here to inform you, sir, that the girl who was hospitalized by Bella has woken up,” she reported.

“Good,” I said with a brief nod. “Tell Alex to prepare for her departure. I don’t want any of the Waterfords in my pack.”

Clai

She bowed respectfully and hurried away. I’d already done more than enough-taking care of that girl even after her mistress left her to die.

I went directly to my room, where Aina was unpacking what we had bought with the maids. They all looked so excited, laughing softly among themselves, completely unaware that I had already

entered.

I lingered by the door for a moment, watching them quietly. My Aina looked so beautiful in that simple dress, her laughter soft and warm as she spoke with the others. The sight alone eased something deep in my chest. I couldn’t help but smile-this woman, my wife, was my peace. Indeed, I had made the right choice.

When she finally noticed me standing there, her eyes widened slightly before a faint blush rose on

her cheeks. The maids turned too and immediately bowed their heads.

“Go share those with the others,” Aina said gently, smiling at them. They nodded quickly and made

their way out, and I stepped aside to let them pass until the door clicked shut, leaving just the two

of us.

“I see you’ve made some friends,” I teased, walking toward her.

She laughed softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Yes, I have. Why? Do we have a

problem, Osborne?” she replied, her tone playful.

I chuckled, shaking my head. “No, no problem at all. I’m just glad you’re settling in well.”

I sat down beside her on the edge of the bed, my hand brushing against her hair as I tucked it

behind her ear again. “Your hair’s grown longer,” I murmured, my fingers lingering for a second.

She chuckled lightly. “Well, it should. You’ve been spoiling me far too much lately.”

That made me laugh, the sound filling the quiet room. “Aina,” I said, my tone softening.

She turned her head slightly, meeting my gaze with those warm eyes that always seemed to undo me. I leaned closer and kissed her, a slow, tender kiss that spoke more than words ever could. When I pulled back, I whispered against her lips, “I love you, Aina.”

Her smile deepened as she whispered back, “I love you too, Osborne.”

I brushed my thumb across her cheek before giving her another quick kiss. “Ah, by the way, my father wants to see us both.”

Her eyes widened slightly. “True! We haven’t gone to greet him yet,” she said, getting up quickly,

adjusting her dress a little.

I stood as well, slipping my hand into hers. “No rush,” I said with a small grin, “he’s not going

anywhere.”

Claud

She rolled her eyes but smiled anyway. “Still, we should look presentable. He’s the Alpha after all”.

I nodded my head to that “indeed but most importantly your father-in-law” I countered.

We walked out together, fingers entwined, chatting away as we made our way to my father’s office.
