Chapter 34
NATALIE.
45 FIER CAMS
Fuck my life, of course it was Natasha, this was my one day off since we got back and I just wanted to spend the day with my kids and I now happen to run into one of the last people that I want to see and not only did I run into her, I stepped on her shoe and she doesn’t want to accept an apology, she really hasn’t changed, she still likes to be the center of attention.
I’ve said this before but Natasha and Yonah were very good friends with Yara and all three of them came up with a plan to mess with me, I mean just seeing her brings back a whole lot of bad memories.
After my mother died and I went to Moon Shadow Pack to live with my father and Yara, I met Yonah and he was a very good friend to me, Yara introduced me to Yonah and Natalie and she told me that they were cousins.
Yonah and I were so close, I told him everything that was on my mind and how much I missed my mum. That’s why when he told me that he was dying and no one could figure out what was wrong with him, I locked myself in my room and went through my mother’s books until I finally figured out what was wrong with him.
I was so happy and relieved because I wasn’t going to lose my best friend, so I ran to his house only to be greeted by a very shocking sight.
Yonah didn’t look sick at all, I mean he even looked better than me who had been locked my room for days, barely eating because I was trying to help him.

He was sitted on a chair while Natasha was sitted on his lap, at least Yonah had the guts to look a little guilty but Natasha had a smug look on her face.
“Oh Natalie, you are so gullible, did you really believe that Yonah was dying?” She asked me and I felt my heart drop to my stomach, I could see what was happening but my brain was taking it’s time to process everything.
“Aren’t you Yonah’s cousin?” I asked her
“Have you seen cousins kiss?” She asked and I was still confused.
“What?”
Instead of answering me, she bent her heaf and the two of them kissed loudly, completely unrestrained, like I wasn’t in the room.

Yonah no longer looked like the gentle big brother that he was to me in the past. He leaned in toward Natasha and said it loudly enough so i would hear too.“I told you. If you’re nice to her, she’ll do anything for you.”
At those words my heart broke, and they did not just stop there, with a huge smile on her face, Natasha told me everything. That she and Yonah were engaged, she was his fiancée.
She said that Yonah’s affection for me was all part of a bet.
He had lost, so he had to get close to me as a penalty.
She admitted that she was jealous, but she went along with the act just to see me make a fool of herself.
Shaking off that memory, my mind came back to the current situation where Natasha was glaring at me like I was beneath her.
“Tsk… Did you even wash your face before going out this morning? What’s all that dirt on your face?” She asks me.
I knew she was referring to the freckles on my face and she knew well enough it wasn’t dirt, she clearly just said that because she’s an evil person that loves to hurt people.
Of course, the freckles were only part of my mask. I didn’t have a single speck on my real skin.
I simply looked back at her and didn’t say anything, I wasn’t going to stopp down to her level by throwing hurtful words around, but apparently Xavier had a different plan.
“Hey lady, you don’t talk to my mummy like thay. And even if she didn’t wash her face, she is was more better than you. I mean don’t you have a toothbrush, your breath stinks, I’m small and I can smell it from down here.” Xavier tells her and I’m about to shush him, when his brother doubles on what he said.
“My brother is right old lady, your breath stinks.” Clayton tells her.
“Old? Who are you calling an old lady?” Natasha asked and live it to her to be focused more on her looks than the fact that two little boys just told her that her breath stinks.
“Why are you asking me if you know who I’m talking about?” Clayton asked her.
“You… You…” She had no words and it was laughable but I held myself.
Natasha was around the same age as me. We were both twenty–five years old. Her face turned red at the sound of Clayton calling her old.

She turned and glared at me. “Let’s sort out the shoes first.” Natasha crossed her arms and puffed out her chest arrogantly. “These shoes are a limited edition pair from the designer Ada, Since you stepped on them and damaged the toc, you’re not leaving until you compensate me!”
These shoes were worth six figures, being a limited–edition designer pair, I knew this because shoes were my guilty pleasure, I didn’t buy them though.
But did one step change its entire shape? Is it completely unwearable?
Natasha had not changed much. She was still demure and as meek as a lamb in front of men, but ruthless and calculating toward women.
She hadn’t changed at all over the past six years.
However, I wasn’t the same naive girl who would only believe in the good in others.
“Compensate? I’m not paying.” I clearly tell her because from where I’m looking, that shoe doesn’t look damaged, in fact it looks fake.
“If you don’t, I’ll call the guards.”
I really didn’t want to interact with the guards from Moon Shadow Pack, but at the same time I wasn’t going to let Natasha bully me.
“The guards handle pack matters, this isn’t a pack matter, so call the police.” I tell her.
“I will.” She says as she raises her nose up at me.
Seeing that I didn’t budge, Natasha really called the police.
It didn’t take long for them to arrive. Instantly, Natasha started acting like the victim and accused me of being aggressive.
Seeing that it was only a civil dispute, the officers grew frustrated.
“How much are those shoes? Why are you so adamant on compensation?”
When she heard the police ask about the shoes‘ value, Natasha piped up, eager to show off her wealth. “These are limited edition heels given to me by my fiancé. One pair is worth a few hundred thousand!”
She continued, “If she had just apologized, I would have let it go! But she insisted that it wasn’t her fault! She didn’t even flinch when I said I’d call the police. She doesn’t respect your authority at all! The more she shows this terrible attitude of hers, the more I want her to pay

for her mistakes!”
The officers frowned. “Miss, you should have apologized. Since she demands such a large amount, you should pay some to at least show that you’re remorseful.”
“Officers I did apologise and the reason I didn’t pay for her shoes is because I believe they are fake and this woman is trying to swindle me.” I tell them.
“How dare you accuse me of something like that?” Natasha gasps.
“If this is really a limited edition heels by Ada, then there should be a serial number just by the heel, if the serial number is there, I will pay you your money, but if it isn’t you are going to have to apologize to me.”
