NATALIE.

I folded my hands and I tapped my feet repeatedly on the ground as I stared at Natasha. The look on her face was almost comical, never in a million years I’m sure did she think that she would be in this situation, finally though, she will get a taste of her own medicine.

“Look lady,even the officers here agree with me. Take them off. I don’t know why you’re holding on to a pair of fake shoes, I’ve given you the money to get a new one, so give me my shoes.” I tell her.

The onlookers had increased in number and it was clear that they were on my side. They started snickering but I could hear everything that they were saying.

“She paid for them already. Why isn’t this woman taking off her che?”

“She doesn’t know what to do now that she knows the other woman has money!”

“Shame on you! Is there anything going on in that head of yours?” Those words were coming from the onlookers.

Natasha’s face burned red in embarrassment. Her eyes grew bloodshot. She looked around almost like she was looking for anyone that could help her. However, there was nothing she could do about her situation, no one would come to help her now. How I wished I could show her my real face so she would know who was really doing this to her but unfortunately I can’t.

I could tell that something like this had never happened to her before, I mean just like Yara, she was spoilt and looked down oj others because their fathers were rich and the two most powerful men in Moon Shadow Pack.

All her life, she was used to getting what she wanted. Even Yonah acted carefully around her.

She looked at me with red eyes and I knew that she was close to crying. Slowly, she bent down and she took off her shoes slowly.

When she finally took them off and stood on the marble floor with her bare feet, she looked like she was ready for the ground to swallow her up.

“Here you go.”

She forced the words out of her mouth, as she stretched the shoes over to me.

She stared at me with anger burning in her eyes. Her face was so red she looked like she wqs

about to go up in flames, but there was nothing that she could do, she brought this on herself. she was the one that made a whole ruckus and then even brought the police here.

“Thank you.” I tell her with a smile on my face, knowing that it will just piss her off all the

more.

I then took the pair of limited edition heels from Natasha’s hands and threw them into the trash without even sparing a glance at them.

“Hey!” She screamed like a banshee and the onlookers were staring at her like she was crazy,

“Why did you throw my shoes in the trash?” She snapped at me.

I sighed in frustration because it was clear that she didn’t understand the basic law of business.

“Your shoes?” I turned to look back at her. “These are the shoes that I bought for three hundred thousand. I can do whatever I want with them. They are fake and they’ve been contaminated by your nasty feet, so they aren’t suitable for wearing anymore. Why should I have to report to you if I’m throwing away my shoes?” I ask her, she was fuming so bad and the color of her eyes changed, but she wouldn’t dare to shift in public,

She might be the Beta’s daughter but she’s not above the rules that govern werewolves and one of them is that we are not to shift in front of humans.

“You bully!” She screamed, I mean it was like the pot calling the kettle black.

“Be careful lady, your real colours are showing.” I tell her and then I scratch the side of my eye so she knows what I’m talking about and she immediately looks shocked and then she blinks her eyes and they return to their normal color.

She still had that shocked look on her face, I guess she couldn’t tell that I was a wolf too. She stomped furiously on the ground with her bare feet, like a child throwing a tantrum.

“I’m a bully? Well, if I’m the one in the wrong here and I really am a bully, then ask the police to arrest me.” I said to her in a very calm tone.

“The officers are right here, you know.” Xavier added scathingly, “You are the one that called them here, these officers are busy. Their job is to catch bad guys to keep the city safe, not to help you solve such petty problems!”

Then Clayton added, “When you call them just because you’re angry, you’re just preventing them from doing their real jobs and helping people that actually need them.”

I could tell that the officers were shocked by my boys but they also looked impressed by them.

“The kids are right, Miss, the next time you do something like this, we will take you into custody.” The police officer tells Natalie and then he apologises to me for the stress and then they leave.

After they left, Natasha broke down, crying and screaming.

I felt an odd sense of satisfaction overwhelm me. Finally, I could stand my ground against the woman that had once towered over me.

“Going barefoot must be uncomfortable.” I say as my gaze drifted toward the direction of the trash can. “If you really want them back, you could always pick them up to wear.

Natasha’s eyes burned with even more rage as she looked up at me. She opened her mouth to retaliate but soon got cut off.

“I spent my money on those shoes. I can do what I want with them. Also is you boyfriend poor? Why did he get you fake shoes?” I ask her.

This was payback for everything I endured those years ago and this was just the beginning, she better hope that I don’t run into her again.

“Well, goodbye.” I tell her and then I grab my car and move away from where she is, but just as I’m about to turn into the next aisle, I run into Ross.

“Ms. Edmund…”

Ross greeted me instinctively. I immediately rushed forward to cover his mouth.

“You don’t need to address me that way when we’re not in the office.”

I quickly realised that the position that we were in looked rather intimate, so I took his hand and I dragged him into another aisle so no one could see us and then I removed my hand from his mouth.

“Is something wrong?” He asked me looking confused.

“Yes, everything is fine.” I lie to him, I didn’t want him to know that Natasha was here, if not he’ll start asking questions like how I know her and that is none of his business.
