Alpha Samuel Bowers.

“What did you just say?” I ask him because I must’ve clearly misheard him.

“Are you single mister?” He asks me, dropping another shocking question that leaves me speechless. Usually kids are scared of me, I don’t blame them though, I’m not the warmest person and plus they can sense that I’m an Alpha.

But this kid doesn’t seem to be deterred by that.

“You know it’s rude not to answer someone’s question right?” He asks as he stares at me with eyes that look just like mine.

Who is this kid? He looks to be about the same age as Franklin and Sophia but then he talks like he’s an adult, I just continue staring at him, trying to figure him out.

“You know, if you don’t say anything, I will assume that it is true.” The young kid blinked his clear eyes once again and tilted up his chubby face to look at me. “Mommy is also single. You are compatible with each other.”

I really didn’t know whether to laugh or to just be shocked. I mean this kid was really trying to set me up with his mother? A stranger that he did not know.

First off, who was his mother and didn’t she teach her son not to talk to strangers? I mean I could have been a kidnapper or even worse. Even if I was interested, that’s definitely the type of woman that I do not want to be with.

I stubbed out my cigarette and asked lightly, “Did your mother teach you to say things like that?”

“No, she doesn’t even know that I’m here. I saw you from the restaurant and I knew that I had talk to you.” He says so confidently.

“You lied to your mother?”

“No, I didn’t. My mum trusts me to take care of myself.” He speaks like he’s a thirty year old

man.

“Look, I brought the idea up to her and she did not like it. She doesn’t think that you can be my stepfather and keeps telling me to give it up.” He let’s out an exasperated sigh.

Upon saying that, he shook his head dramatically.

“It’s really tough for me as a son to keep track of Mommy’s personal affairs. She really worries.

me.”

“Really?” I couldn’t believe a word that he was saying, there wasn’t any woman in my pack or in this city that didn’t want me, well except one.

“Sir, I’ve investigated your background. As the head of the Bowers family and Alpha of Blood Moon Pack, you are an excellent man. But Mommy is pretty good too. She is a woman who has the looks and the brain. If you don’t want to pursue Mommy, there are many others who want to pursue her. I can find someone else for her.”

He spoke with a serious note and I have to admit I admired it, he will make a good man when he grows up.

However, I didn’t want his mother, so I merely leaned down and ruffled his hair unhurriedly.

“You can find another person for your mommy.” I tell him.

When I said that, it was clear that he wasn’t happy with my answer. He looked stunned and stared at me in disbelief.

“Y–You…” He stammered and I actually pitied him so I decided to give him a little explanation.

“There’s a woman that I want.” I narrowed my eyes at him and continued, “Therefore, I’m not interested in other women.”

The little boy opened his mouth but no words came out, he was stunned.

“Look, you seem like a great kid and I’m sure you’ll find someone for your mummy.” I tell him as I stretch my hand out for a handshake.

“Since you don’t like Mommy, you will regret it sooner or later.” He snaps at me

I withdrew my hand and did not respond. Then, the corner of his mouth lifted into an ambiguous smirk.

I did not like children except Franklin and Sophia. But there was something about this kid that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

“I never got your name.” I tell him and he glares at me.

“It’s Xavier.” He tells me.

“That’s a good name, a strong name.” I tell him.

“Yeah, I know. But stop trying to be friendly if you’re not going to be with my mummy.” He

tells me.

Well, it’s clear that he is not taking the rejection well. His chubby face was getting rounder as frustration grew in him, and there was a frustrating look in his eyes.

“You will regret it sooner or later for liking another woman and not Mommy. If you come running to me crying, I will not help you. We’ll just wait and see!”

“Well then, I guess we will.” I tell him and then I turn around and leave.

“Blood.” Axel snarls in my head as the little boy walks away.

After my run in with the kid, my feelings were more settled and I went into the restaurant to get Steven and Yohan who were both staring at me like I was a ticking

ne bomb.

The moment we stepped put of the restaurant, a car passed by us. Steven and Yohan did not notice the car, my gaze was fixed on Natalie and her sweetheart sitting inside it.

The car passed the three of us quickly, and I continued to stare at it. The rage that I had just gotten under control was threatening to come up again and in my head, I had already thought of about ten painful ways that I could hurt her sweetheart.

On the way back to the pack, I did not say a word, I was battling with the different emotions in

Upon reaching home, I looked at Gavin and asked, “Where are Franklin and Sophia?”

“Inside their room Alpha Bowers. They aren’t asleep yet.”

“Thanks.”

After getting the reply, I walked upstairs and knocked on their bedroom door.

“Who is it?”

“It’s me.”

Once they heard my voice, Franklin rushed to open the door.

You know until she came into my life, I didn’t even think about how the children felt about me, I mean I always knew that they feared me but I didn’t care, until her. The way the lit up around her and always wanted to be with her, I mean they went on a hunger strike just because

they wanted to see her. They would never do that for me.

Standing in front of me, Franklin crossed his barefooted legs with confusion and restlessness on his face as he looked at me.

“Daddy, it’s late. Is there a reason why you’re looking for me?” He asked and he sounded so much like the little boy I met. But apart from that he had a guilty look on his face, like he had done something wrong. But I don’t have the time to get into it right now, I’m sure that Gavin will fill me in.

But I just kept quiet and stared at him to see if he would tell me himself, but it’s clear that my son is getting too smart for his age so he just stared right back at me.

“Yes actually, is your sister awake?” I asked him.

“Yes she is, she’s colouring.” He tells me.

“Well, would you guys like to go and see Natalie?”
