God damn it, Yandel and his big mouth and not knowing when to shut up, like couldn’t he read the room, I was seriously regretting bringing him here with me.

I didn’t say anything to Shawn, I mean what could I say. He was scared and whatever I said wouldn’t make a difference, the only thing that could help me now was Alpha Watson waking

So I remained expressionless, the Watsons family knew nothing about acupuncture. Therefore, it was merely a waste of time for me to explain the situation to them.

After taking a glance at the family as they all glared daggers at me, I strutted toward Alpha Watson and took the needles out of his body.

The crystal needles were my family heirloom, given by her maternal grandfather.

They were extremely precious and priceless, as each of them was made of rare, mysterious metal.

“Sir, please arrest this woman. She’s the one who killed my father!” Chris shouted.

Is he serious right now? He and his brother are the ones that put him in this bed in the first place and I’m sure their wives are involved somehow. But they all don’t seem smart enough to be able to poison him with wolfsbane, which means that must be working with a doctor or a healer.

“Look at those needles. She used them to murder my father. All of us here are witnesses. She killed my father, and I want her to pay for it!” Charlie followed hid brother to blame me for something that I didn’t do.

Charlie and Chris had always fought to become the head of the family and Alpha. So it was shocking to see the both of them united against me.

But then a thought occurs to me, Alpha Watson had wolfsbane and another poison in his system. Which means that he was poisoned by two people, Charlie and Chris. Both brothers wanted to kill their father and they didn’t even know,

I just shook my head and continued with what I was doing. Right after I removed the last crystal needle, I gave the two siblings the side–eye. “Who said Alpha Watson was dead? Are you doctors? We’re all werewolves in this room and if you’d stop shouting at the top of your voice, you’ll clearly hear his hear beat, it’s also getting stronger.”

Hearing that, a very angry looking Charlie took a few steps forward and pointed at me. “Judging from the amount of blood my father vomited, how can he be still alive? You’re so a liar and you’re just trying to save yourself and it won’t work!”

“Yeah.” My lips curled into a sneer.

When the police were about to arrest me, a cough interrupted them. It was Alpha Watson who had been vomiting blood endlessly a while ago.

Cough! Cough!

The sound of him coughing was soft, but it shocked everyone in the room. Especially the brothers and their wives.

Shawn turned to Alpha Watson in disbelief. “Grandpa, a–are you okay?”

Sitting up with difficulty, he wiped the blood from the corner of his lips. In a weak but firm voice, he said, “No one shoule lay a hand on that woman, unless you want to lose it. She saved my life.” He declares and immediately the police step back.

The two couples were stunned, but they immediately composed themselves.

Chris was quick to explain, “Dad, since you were unconscious just now, you may not understand the situation. Let me explain it to you. This woman put needles in your skin, causing you to vomit blood. You can see for yourself if you don’t believe me. Look. This bedsheet is stained with your blood.”

I could not help but roll my eyes.

His sons are still trying to mislead him by slandering me. Do they think their father and I are stupid?

Alpha Watson glanced at Shawn and slowly said, “Get me a glass of water.”

Shawn quickly did as he was told and said, “Grandpa, here.”

However, Max did not take a sip of water after taking the glass. Instead, he threw it toward

Chris.

Although he was still weak and could only exert little force, the glass somehow landed on Chris‘ forehead.

“Dad, what are you doing? Why are you throwing the glass at me?” Chris questioned angrily.

Alpha Watson was fuming. “I’m unconscious, not dead. I know how I woke up from a coma.

A thick silence immediately fell upon the room.

The disappointment was clear on both of the couples faces, even though they tried to hide it. They all thought that their plan would work and Alpha Watson would die after vomiting so much blood. I’m pretty sure they nevet expected to see his conditon improve so miraculously.

They were all pariahs, I mean their own father? No wonder he made his grandson his heir. Now that he was back, there was nothing that they could do, they had no power. They had to do as he says, I mean after I tell him how he got sick, I doubt that they’ll even be allowed to remain in this house or in the pack. Alpha Watson might be old but his brutality is known by all, he doesn’t show mercy even to his own family.

It was clear that they didn’t like the turn of events but none of them dared to challenge him.

Alpha Watson clutched his blanket and instructed, “All of you, get out of this room right now. Let Shawn and the doctor stay.”

With that, the farce finally came to an end, and no one dared to say anything or disobey the order.

After everyone made their exit, Shawn and I were the ones left in the bedroom with Alpha

Watson.

I heaved a sigh of relief. “Alpha Watson, you do know how to make an entrance. I would have been arrested if you had woken up a little later.” I tell him and he gives me a little smile.

“Luckily, I was in time.” he sighed. “You saved my life. What’s

your name?”

“Natalie Edmund.” I smiled politely.

“Natalie. It’s a good name.” he nodded slightly with tears of gratitude welled up in his eyes. “You saved my life. The Watson family and I will always remember your kindness and as Alpha

you ever need anything, anything at all, please don’t hesitate to let me know.”

My mind immediately went to his sons and their wives, because as long as they are in this house, they can easily try something like this again. But I can’t just accuse his family without proof.

I shifted my gaze onto Shawn before looking back at Alpha Watson.

I waved my hand dismissively and said, “It’s my pleasure to help you, Alpha Watson. As for other people, I don’t think they think the same.”
