I couldn’t believe that she actually had the gull to do something like this, I mean I could tell that she was a vile person but I didn’t think that she would go this far.

The atmosphere in the living room of the manor felt heavy, she knew she had done something wrong but she was still standing on her high horse.

After helping me stand straight, Shawn looked sternly at Mandy.

“What are you doing, Aunt Mandy?”

Before Mandy could say anything, her doorknob of a husband took her by the shoulders and said unconcernedly, “Shawn, didn’t she make it clear? Her hand slipped.”

Of course he would take her side, they were all cut from the same cloth, they were meant for each other.

“You-” I try to speak but Chris butts in again.

“She already apologized. What more do you want from her?” Chris continued, “No matter what, I’m still the oldest son of this family and you’re in my home and as a member of this family. You can’t just side with this ugly girl!”

He snaps at me but I know the reason they are so pissed of is because I ruined their plans by saving Alpha Watson, so this was their way of dealing with their anger, by taking it out on me.

If it was before, the Natalie if before, the little village girl, they would have been able to get away with this, but not this time.

I could feel the anger radiating off Shawn and I looked up to see that the color of his changed and then I actually saw fear in Chris’s eyes. He’s scared of Shawn?

Shawn moves forward but I’m quick to grab his hand and stop him.

“Wait.” I tell him.

“Ms. Edmund…”

The corners of my lips tugged up into a curve under Shawn’s skeptical gaze.

I passed by Chris and Mandy on the stairs and they both had smiles on their faces, thanking that they had won this round, but they were about to be so sorry.

I dropped my medical bag on the table and I stylishly grabbed the silver knife that I always kept in the side pocket for emergencies. I took it and hid it behind my back and then with my speed I rushed towards Mandy, pinned her against the wall and pressed the silver knife against her neck.

“Let go of my wife.” Chris growled as he tried to approach me but I just laughed.

“You still have the audacity to threaten me? You might the first son of the Alpha, but his heir and you aren’t the Alpha and so you have no authority here. Also if you want your wife to live I suggest you stay where you are because this knife is made of pure silver and I currently have it pressed against her carotid artery, one small nick and she’s dead.” I tell him and immediately he stops moving and he’s quiet.

Then I turned back to Mandy who was now shaking like a leaf, I mean she’s a wolf for God sake, at least put up a fight. But she didn’t, which was kind of disappointing, she had tears welled up in her eyes.

“Are, are…. You insane? W–What are you trying to do?” She stammers.

“You still have the nerve to insult me when you’re the one in the perilous situation?” I ask her and she swallows audibly for all of us to hear.

I pressed the knife a little bit into her neck and she bleeds a little, she looks down to see the blood and her heart rate increases.

She was scared out of her wits. She stammered, “Y–You’re… going to kill me? Y–You’re crazy!”

I just smiled at her, I mean she was the one that threw the hot tea on my face, but she’s calling me the crazy one? As far as I’m concerned this is self defence.

“Who knows, maybe I will, maybe I won’t. It depends on how I’m feeling.” I say to her even though I have no plans of killing her.

I looked over to Chris, he looked angry, but I could tell that he was also scared which was why he hadn’t moved. He didn’t know me or what I was capable of, I was a wild card.

Shawn on the other hand, looked surprised, but thankfully he did not interfere, he observed from the sidelines.

As my grip tightened slightly, Mandy quivered with fear.

“Do you know what will happen to you if my hand slips now?”

As soon as Mandy heard my words, she began trembling more violently.

“Please don’t… I–I was wrong. I shouldn’t have splashed tea at you.”

“You’re finally speaking like a human?”

“I’m sorry.”

“I can’t hear you.”

I exerted more force, causing a trickle of blood to seep out from Mandy’s neck.

Mandy was scared witless.

Soon after, tears rolled down her face like beads.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I was wrong! I shouldn’t have splashed tea and mocked you. Please don’t do this.”

When I heard the words I wanted from Mandy, I let go and held the knife by my

side.

“I’m not from the Watson family, so I won’t go easy on you guys.”

Mandy was so frightened that all her strength left her body. She crumpled to the ground, unable to let out another harsh word.

After that, I stepped over her slumped body and turned to leave.

Chris rushed to his wife while Shawn followed me quickly. Without uttering a word, he walked by my side.

“There are indeed lots of vile people in the Watsons family,” I lamented and pursed my lips.

If it weren’t for the fact that Alpha Watson is an old friend of Gerald, who treated me with kindness, I wouldn’t have involved myself in this matter.

As Shawn looked into my eyes, he froze for a moment. “Am I included in one of those vile people?” He asked me.

But I just smiled at him and then he just shook his head and opened the passenger door of the Lamborghini for me.
