The Alpha’s Mafia Luna

Chapter 104

The morning sun filtered through the curtains, warm and soft, but my eyes were already open. Sleep had barely touched me. My thoughts were tangled, loud

-haunted by Albert’s visit and the necklace I now held clutched to my chest.

I stared at the silver ring, the same symbol from my dreams etched deep into it. My mother’s symbol.

I should’ve felt comforted. Instead, my chest felt heavy.

Girl, are you up?Naia’s voice came from outside my door.

Yeah, I called back weakly.

She didn’t wait. She came in, her bonnet already in place and her pajamas wrinkled from sleep. You look like hell, she said, raising a brow as she sat

beside me.

I didn’t sleep much.

No kidding. She leaned over to look at the necklace in my hand. That thing again?

I nodded slowly. It belonged to my mom. Albert said Isa wanted me to have it.

Naia gave me a long look. You’re still not gonna tell me everything, are you?

I met her eyes. Not yet.

Okay, she sighed. But I’m not stupid. Something big’s happening.

It always is,I muttered.

Naia nudged me. Don’t forget, you’ve got that Alpha party tonight. Don’t back out.

I blinked. That’s tonight?

Naia gasped like I’d committed a crime. Don’t tell me you forgot! Lucas personally invited you. I know he’s not your man, but stil

1 groaned. Do I really have to go?

Yes. And you’re gonna dress like the baddest thing that ever walked into that room.

I laughed despite myself. Only if you help

She grinned. Say less.

By early evening, I was standing in front of the mirror, staring at myself like I didn’t even know who I was.

Naia had outdone herself.

My curis were soft and full, halfpinned back with little gold clips that sparkled. My lips were a tich berry red, and my eyes shimmered with soft gold shadow. The emerald green dress hugged my body like it had been made for me. Low back. High slit. Powerful Dangerous

I hadn’t felt beautiful in a long timebut tonight, I looked it.

Naia was behind me, arms crossed, admiring her work. You look like a royal descendant of chaos. I’m so proud.

I’m gonna trip in these heels.

You better not. Walk like you’ve got secrets that can ruin kingdoms.

The honk of a car pulled us both to the window.

Naia grinned. Lucas is here.

I took a breath, grabbed my clutch and the fur jacket, and hugged her tight. I’ll call if anything happens.

You better, she whispered. And remember, don’t let any Alpha intimidate you. You are not their plaything.

Lucas was standing by the passenger door of his SUV, dressed in a dark navy suit with a black shirt. No tie. The first few buttons undone. His scent, calm

and clean, drifted to me the moment I stepped outside.

He smiled when he saw me. You lookincredible.

Thanks,I said, brushing a curl behind my ear. You don’t look bad either.

He opened the door for me. You ready?

No. Yes.

The party was at some sleek mansion on the city’s edge. Glass walls, fire pits outside, music soft but constant.

As soon as we walked in, all eyes were on us.

Whispers started immediately.

She’s not marked.

That’s Lucas’s date?

She’s bold.

I kept my head high, walking beside Lucas like I belonged there. Because I did. I wasn’t some Omega charity case. Not anymore,

But then an older Alpha stepped in front of us. Tall. Gray hair. Cold eyes.

Lucas,he greeted with a fake smile. You’ve brought quite the beauty tonight.

Lucas kept a tight grip on my waist. Alpha Raymond

Raymond’s gaze dragged over me. She’s not marked. That’s dangerous. It makes you tookvulnerable
