Chapter 20: Trapped in Wereville
*MELENA*
Scared of being kept within a room that somehow looked like a cell, I came off the bed, and I fell flat to the ground on my face, creating a loud sound.
Miss Eutis and Alpha Strider rush into the room by the sound.
Eutis helped me up from the cold, tiled floor and placed me back onto the bed. Within her hands, I noticed red nightwear and a pair of white socks.
While Alpha Strider stood behind her, Eutis hid my naked body with her body, blocking Alpha Strider from seeing anything, and helped me put on the red nightwear. She then lowers herself to the floor to put on my socks. I spread both of my hands aside on the soft bed, watching her as she placed the first white sock on my foot and rolled it gently up to my ankle.
I then felt a strong feeling against my skin, and there I saw Alpha Strider, watching me. He stood within the room like a statue. I too stared at him until I felt a dangerous feeling escaping from his dark eyes. I remove my eyes from him, scared, and continue to watch Eutis as she completes putting on my last sock.
She then removes herself from the floor and heads towards the door. I too followed her. She paused, and I hit into her back.
Eutis turned around to look at me sadly. She held my hand and brought me back to the bed to sit, and started to exit the room again. I again followed her.
“No,” she said tearfully. “You cannot come with me.”
I shook my head and still continued to follow her. Alpha Strider shoved me onto the bed. I got up angry
and tried to shift into my wolf form.
“You’re unable to,” said Alpha Strider. The treatment you got earlier will prevent you from shifting to your wolf form for some time, stopping you from escaping.
I looked at Eutis, angry as hell.
“How could you?” I cried out to her, feeling betrayed.
“I’m sorry,” she said.
I ignored her, turning my back. It was my fault anyways for trusting her, a total stranger.
I cried out even louder, I was tired of being threatened like this. I was also tired of being hurt and used by people.
“Calm down, Melena,” she said. I’ll visit you tomorrow.”
“Visit!” I shouted angrily, staring into her eyes with great hatred.
“Let’s go,” Alpha Strider instructed her.
As they were about to leave. I jumped on Alpha Strider’s back and bit him on his shoulder.
I was so tired of alphas treating me like they own me.
He threw me onto the floor and looked at his shoulder. His shoulder was bleeding from my sharp teeth sinking into his flesh.
He then looked at me. But I saw no anger. Eutis looked at me frighteningly while I lay on the floor on my back.
I felt blood dripping from my mouth onto the white tile. I was terrified of what had just happened and crawled quickly towards the wall. Curling against it, scared as hell. I cried, pulling my white hair in anger. I wanted to be free. Free from this life.
I shoved myself further against the wall, terrified of what she might do.
“Your job is done now,” she instructed the younger female. You can go home now.”
She obeyed her and exited the room.
Now it was only that sour face with me within the room. She stared at me from head to toe with disgust.
“I definitely don’t want you within the Dark Shadow pack,” she again said scornfully. You look like you have been screwed all over by numerous men. “I’m going to make sure you fail this seven-day trial,” she again said angrily. As long as I’m in charge of you, you will most definitely fail the same day.”
She continued to look at me like I was garbage and made faces as if she was about to puke.
“You’re not even all that,” she said again. Men only want you to use and nothing more, whore. “She called
I said nothing, resting myself against the cold wall. She then spat on my food and exited the room.
As she left the room. I wondered what she was saying. I didn’t know what she was talking about. Nor did I ask to be a part of their pack.
Suddenly, something came to mind. Was Eutis successful in getting Alpha Strider to accept me to be a part of his pack, and did it include the seven-day trial?
My belly growled. I stared at the meal, covered in her spit, and went to drink the fruit juice. I couldn’t drink it. I threw it back up. Vomiting all over the bed. Who knows what she had done to it before bringing it to me?
Unable to sleep on the bed. I brought my slender body to the cold, tile floor and lay there, curling into a ball, listening to the beautiful sound of the rain. The thunder rolled loudly. I was terrified. I had always been scared of the thunder. Not having anyone to run to. I hid myself underneath the bed, frightened.
