The Sherman family saw things were about to get deadly and bolted in a panic.

Renee shot a look at Charles, the old butler of the Quinn family. “Why are you just standing

there? Call an ambulance!”

Charles stepped forward, looking like he’d seen a ghost. “Mr. Quinn, someone’s streaming the wedding live!”

Henry just dropped to the floor like he’d been struck by lightning.

Andrea was totally freaking out.

With the whole thing being livestreamed, her dirty laundry was about to be aired for the whole world to see.

Andrea grabbed Henry’s arm. “Mr. Quinn, you have to catch whoever’s streaming this, or we’re all finished!”

Henry, furious and humiliated, barked at Charles and the bodyguards, “Block every exit and search everyone. Find the person streaming this, now!”

Mia ducked down and quietly dragged the streamer into the bathroom.

The streamer quickly changed into the outfit she’d stashed earlier, threw on a wig, and started disassembling her equipment.

Just as the streamer was about to shove the gear into her bag, Mia reminded her, “Let me take this stuff out for you. We’ll split up. The Hamilton family’s car is waiting outside to pick you up.”

Mia and the streamer slipped out of the bathroom one after the other. By then, Violet had already been taken away in an ambulance.

Watching the streamer slip out the exit, Mia was just about to leave when Charles stepped in front of her. “Ms. Hamilton, please open your bag.”

Mia let out a cold laugh. “You really want to stop me?”

Charles forced himself to stand his ground and motioned for the bodyguards to step forward. “Ms. Hamilton, this is serious. Please cooperate.”

Thud! A muffled sound rang out before anyone could react.

The nearest Quinn family bodyguard was already flat on the floor, dropped by Mia in one swift move.

Mia’s move was a dead giveaway. She might as well have confessed right then and there.

Henry stormed over with his crew, cutting Mia off, while the guests swarmed in, hungry for drama.

Henry gritted his teeth in anger when he saw Mia. “I knew Renee would never dare do this on her own. You must’ve egged her on!”

He jabbed a finger at Mia and snapped at the bodyguards, “Stop her!”

Before the Quinn family’s bodyguards could even move, Patrick was already by Mia’s side.

Patrick jabbed a finger at Henry and started yelling, “Henry, you old bastard! You actually dared to bully my baby? I’ll tear the Quinn family apart!”

Henry instantly chickened out the moment he saw Patrick.

Mia snuggled up to Patrick, playing the victim. “Patrick, thank goodness you’re here. This old bastard was bullying me.”

Henry caught a flash of menace in Patrick’s eyes, and a cold sweat broke out down his back.

Henry stammered, “Patrick, I honestly thought I never did anything to offend you or the Hamiltons, but Ms. Hamilton keeps coming after me for no reason.”

Patrick cut him off before he could finish. “You brought this on yourself. You knew Andrea was the Hamilton family’s enemy, but you still joined forces with her. Serves you right!”

Patrick said, “Before I came, Ian told me to send you a message. Henry, cut all ties with those two women from the Sherman family, or you’ll be in serious trouble!”

With that, Patrick put his arm around Mia and walked away without a second glance at the

crowd.

Mia seized the moment to lead Renee away with her.

As they stepped out of the church, Mia realized it was pouring. “Getting married on a rainy day? Guess this wedding was doomed from the start!”

Mia handed the streaming gear to Renee.

Renee thanked her over and over, then hurried off with the equipment to find her influencer friend.

Chapter 350

Mia and Patrick got into the car, only to find Ian already inside.

Mia’s eyes lit up. “Ian, why are you here, too?”

Ian didn’t bother explaining. He just told Robert to drive.

Ian didn’t say a word the whole ride.

Patrick and Mia chatted away the entire time.

Suddenly, Ian spoke up. “Stop the car.”

Patrick and Mia looked totally baffled as Robert slowly pulled over to the side of the road.

Ian asked, “Is there an umbrella in the car?”

Robert quickly handed him one.

Ian took the umbrella and got out of the car.

Patrick and Mia huddled inside, peeking out as Ian walked straight over to Chloe with the umbrella. Suddenly, everything made sense, and they knew exactly what was up.

“Chloe!” Mia called out.

Mia tried to get out, too, but Patrick held her back.

Patrick told Robert to hit the gas, leaving Ian standing there in the rain.

Chloe had come over during her lunch break to give a pulse diagnosis to one of her mom’s friends, and when she stepped outside, it suddenly started pouring.

She didn’t expect to run into Ian.

Ian held the umbrella in one hand and took off his jacket with the other.

Chloe shook her head. “I’m fine, Ian. I’m not cold.”

But Ian still draped his jacket over her shoulders. “Where are you headed? Let me give you a ride.”

Chloe thought for a moment and shook her head. “I’ll just take a cab back to the hospital. Don’t worry about me.”

Ian turned around and saw that the car was already gone.

His

looked down at Chloe, intense and commanding. “Have you had lunch yet?”

Seeing Chloe hesitate, Ian knew she hadn’t eaten yet.

But Chloe was firm. She wasn’t going to the restaurant with him.

Ian glanced around, then pointed at a milkshake shop with a line out front. “Come on, let me get you a milkshake.”

He remembered Chloe was crazy about street food.

Milkshakes and all those street snacks. She loved them all.

If the food was good, Chloe and Mia would track it down, no matter how hidden or deep in some alley.

Chloe nodded, and the two of them huddled under the umbrella as they joined the end of

the line.

Ian switched spots with Chloe, standing on the windy side and angling the umbrella to shield

her better.

Chloe glanced at Ian. “So, what are you doing out here in Verdantville?”

Ian lowered his gaze. “Just came with Patrick, nothing major.”

Since Ian clearly didn’t want to talk about it, Chloe didn’t press.

They hadn’t seen each other in a while. They weren’t exactly close, but it didn’t feel weird either. Chloe felt comfortable around Ian, just like always.
