Laura sat on the couch, her eyes full of hatred as she looked at Andrea. “You ungrateful brat. I busted my ass raising you, and the first chance you get, you side with Violet. If you want us to clear your name, pay up!”

Andrea pulled out her phone and transferred thirty thousand dollars to Laura on the spot. “Mom, that’s all I’ve got in my account right now. Once this whole mess blows over and Bridget calms down, I’ll go ask her for

money.

“I promise I’ll buy Xander a villa and send my two nephews to the best private schools.”

Laura had been tricked by the Sherman family into raising kids she thought were her relatives for years. With all that pent-up resentment, there was no way she’d agree so easily.

Laura pointed at Andrea and said, “Bring me 15 million first. Then, Xander and I will go on TV right away to clear your name!”

Andrea staggered to her feet.

She pointed at Laura and demanded, “You raised me yourself, and now all you ever talk about is money? You’re really just going to stand there and watch me hit rock bottom, and not do a damn thing to help?”

Laura shot up from the couch.

Laura snapped, “If our family helps you, everyone will be out for our blood. What about Xander? What about my two grandsons? Do you want their lives ruined, too?

“Why shouldn’t I ask you for more money?”

As Laura kept talking, her emotions got the best of her. She grabbed Andrea’s clothes and started yanking at

them.

She said, “You’re just like that bitch Violet. Neither of you is any good. Everything that’s happening to you serves you right!

“Say that again, I dare you!” Andrea fired back, not backing down.

Andrea wasn’t about to let Laura get away with it. She fought back, and the two started clawing and wrestling with each other.

Laura was a total shrew. Age didn’t slow her down one bit. She went berserk, clawing at Andrea’s face like a wildcat.

Her eyes were bloodshot, and she looked like a crazed demon as she snatched up a fruit knife from the coffee table and lunged at Laura, aiming straight for her chest. “Old hag, drop dead!”

Seeing Andrea charging at her like a crazed demon, Laura shrieked, broke free, and scrambled on all fours. yelling for help as she tried to get away.

Andrea was freaking out, her nerves shot and guilt gnawing at her.

When she saw Laura crawling toward the front door, desperate to escape, Andrea charged after her and stabbed her in the back again and again.

She only stopped when Laura finally went quiet and collapsed, not moving an inch.

Andrea stared around the living room, her mind finally snapping back as she took in the horror. The place was smeared with blood, and Laura was lying motionless in a crimson pool.

‘Oh my god, I just killed her!’ Andrea thought.

The fruit knife slipped from her hand and clattered to the floor,

Just then, Laura’s phone started ringing in her pocket. Andrea screamed, yanked open the door, and tore out of the Sherman family’s place.

She thought, ‘I am the Jordan family’s heiress. I couldn’t let myself get caught. No one could ever know I was

the killer.’

Not long after Andrea bolted, Melody and Xander came home with their two kids.

Mitchell knocked and stepped inside. “Mr. Hamilton, Andrea killed Laura last night and went on the run. Violet and Henry are hiding her out, and the cops are already on the case.”

Ian set down his work and stood up. “What’s going on with the Jordan family?”

Mitchell replied, “Xander and Melody stormed over to the Jordan family’s place first thing this morning with a crowd of relatives, causing a huge ruckus. The Jordan family just held a press conference. publicly disowned Andrea, and promised to fully cooperate with the police investigation.

On the street that day, Andrea had already realized Chloe was the one who set her up and got her to come back.

Now that Andrea was desperate and had nowhere left to turn, there was a good chance she’d go after Chloe just to take it out on her.

Eric didn’t ask any more questions. “I’ll take care of it right away.”

Ian left Westside General Hospital without seeing Chloe.
