The Billionaire’s Regret -Alessa (by Bukolami) novel Chapter 101

Twenty-five students passed the second trial. Their dorms were upgraded and they were all in two rooms.

Alessa and Aliyah weren't in the same room this time but they saw each other whenever they had training.

Alessa kept her head up the whole week, she had learned not to trust anyone or make friends. Aliyah’s bullet wounds were healing already.

It was the ranked students' final trial and the whole building was talking about it. Alessa hasn't seen Stacey all week because she has been busy preparing for her trial.

Since it's the ranked students' final trial, everyone would watch. Alessa and the rest of the students headed to a different arena in the building.

Alessa still couldn't figure out how huge the building was, she was sure it was an estate. She wondered if the authorities knew about the building and if it was legal.

They walked into the arena and a gasp escaped Alessa’s lips. It was twice the size of the arena where they had their second trial.

“Woah,” she muttered as she took a seat in the front row. Other students walked in too and in minutes, the arena was filled.

Madam Olga and the rest of the teachers were also present.

Alessa waited patiently for the ranked students to walk out.

After what seemed like forever, they all walked out of the gate, and everyone cheered. Alessa clapped happily as she yelled Stacey’s name.

There were ten of them which meant only five would pass. Alessa noticed they were all holding swords and she wondered why.

They all stood in a line and turned to Madam Olga and the teachers.

“Congratulations on making this far.” Madam Olga said and the students cheered.

“To graduate with honours, you need to pass your final trial. This is the moment you have been training for all year. Only five of you will graduate.” Madam Olga said. The air became tense as the arena fell silent.

“For your final trial, you are to fight each other.”

“To death.” Madam Olga added and murmurs filled the air.

Alessa exhaled heavily and muttered a little prayer for Stacey.

Alessa laughed happily as she danced with Stacey. They were having a little party to celebrate their graduation and other students were allowed to join them.

“I am so happy for you, Stacey,” Alessa said as they stopped dancing and walked to the table filled with drinks.

“Thank you. I can't wait to visit my sister at the orphanage. With the job I was assigned to, I can afford anything she wants and send her to a private high school.” she said with a wide smile and Alessa raised her brows.

“A job? What job?” Alessa asked.

“When you get to the final rank you will know. Everyone got a job assigned to them. A high-paying job.” she replied and Alessa mouthed an ‘oh.’

Suddenly, there was an announcement.

“All students, report to the training grounds immediately. Alessa and Stacey, be here in two minutes.” They heard Madam Olga's voice say on the speakers.
