The Billionaire’s Regret -Alessa (by Bukolami) novel Chapter 84

“You can run from me but you can't hide,” he said and Alessa closed her eyes as memories came flooding in.

She took in a deep breath before turning to him. Their eyes met and her heart started to race faster. He looked different and better than the last time she saw him. He has always looked good.

He was dressed in a tuxedo which suited him perfectly. His hair was styled nicely.

“Really, Cara? Eye fucking me already?” he asked and Alessa snapped out of her thoughts.

He was about to take a step closer to her when Alessa stepped back a little as she felt goosebumps all over her body.

She started to gasp as she found it difficult to breathe. He kept calm as he watched her.

He was about to speak when the door to the living room opened and Thane walked in.

“Ma’am… “ he trailed off seeing Alessa gasping. He rushed to her and froze when he saw who it was. His heart skipped a beat as he held his gaze.

Despite being terrified of the man in his presence, Thane stood in front of him as Alessa gasped.

“Really?” he asked, raising his brow and Thane frowned.

“She doesn't want you here, you should leave,” Thane said sternly, trying so hard not to show how terrified he was.

He had a thousand reasons to be terrified, he is the Mafia Lord. He is ruthless and kills at every slight mistake made by a person. He is called the devil because of so many reasons. He runs the crime world and he has been the Lord for years despite still being in his late twenties.

“Move away,” he ordered Thane but he didn't.

Thane swore to protect Alessa with his life and he will always do so.

“You should leave. She doesn't want you here.” Thane replied.

“Thane… move away. It's okay.” Alessa managed to say as she gasped but he didn't listen.

Alessa sighed and Thane looked at her, she gave him an assuring look and he nodded at her.

Damien dropped them both on their feet but they stood so close to him with a wide smile on their faces.

Damien stretched his hands to Aiden and they did their signature handshake then he turned to Aria.

“My princess,” he said softly as he bowed a little.

“Your Majesty,” Aria replied, holding her dress and bowing a little just like he taught her.

Thane watched him and resisted the urge to roll his eyes or scoff. This is the same man who kills at every chance he gets, this is the same man who took his time in cutting someone up just because of the satisfaction he would get. He is crazy.

But to Alessa’s kids, he is a different person and Thane wondered why. Why are Alessa’s kids so important to him?

“We missed you so much, Damien. Mum wouldn't let us call you or even say your name.” Aiden told him and he chuckled before looking up at Alessa who faked a smile because of her children’s presence.
