“Damien Kendall. Her husband.” Damien cut her off and they were all surprised. Alessa didn't deny it, all she did was smile.

“Come on, we have other guests to welcome.” she hurriedly said and pulled Aria away.

“Let's go do something else,” Damien said and pulled Aiden away.

Bryan couldn't help but scoff. He loosened the first two buttons of his shirt as he muttered angrily and stood up. He walked out of the ballroom and Lydia looked confused. Tracy did too, same as Tyler.

But Brook didn't look confused, same as their father.

“I should go after… “

“You better not.” Mr. Hart cut Lydia off without looking at her.

Seeing how serious he looked despite doing something else, she decided to listen to him.

Tyler stood up and walked out of the ballroom too.

“I will be back,” Tracy said and stood up too but she didn't walk out of the ballroom. She walked towards Thane who was at the entrance Alessa and her kids walked out from.

Thane watched as she approached him, she grabbed his hand immediately she got to him and pulled him into the hallway.

They were far away from the ballroom before she let go of his hand and turned to him.

“I can't do this right now. I am busy with… “

“Who the hell is that man?” Tracy cut him off.

“Who?” Thane asked back and she glared at him.

“Don't play dumb with me. Who the hell is that man and why did he introduce himself as Alessa’s husband? Alessa never mentioned that she has a husband or does she?” Tracy asked questions.

“What? What am I missing here?”

“It's a long story, it's a really long story and now is not the time to explain but this is bad. This is really bad. We go way back, his father and my father used to do business together then a lot of shit happened and things just went bad.” Bryan explained but Tyler was still confused.

“Okay, he is Alessa’s husband… “

“No, he’s not. He used her last name when he wanted to introduce himself, his last name is Marshall.” Bryan said.

“He is with my kids, he is with Alessa. My kids know him and I am sure he knows they are mine. This is bad Tyler.” Bryan said worriedly.

Tyler could tell this was serious, he had never seen Bryan worry about anything.

“Who the hell is he?” Tyler asked and Bryan shook his head a little before speaking.

“He is popularly known as the devil but he is more than that. He is way more than that. He is the apex of apex predators, he is a destroyer. He is death himself and when he hunts his prey, he never misses. He is a demon, Tyler. A demon who lives off the pain and blood of his prey.”
