Lily offered a radiant smile.
Under the crowd's watchful eyes, Julian Rowe strode in with a warm, approachable smile, naturally exuding an aura of commanding elegance.
The CEO of Apex trotted over with a group of executives to welcome him.
People respectfully murmured "Mr. Rowe," automatically clearing a path for him.
The media surged forward, but no one dared to raise their cameras unprompted, strictly waiting on both sides in perfect order.
Ethan had always viewed Julian as a role model.
This left protector of Lily's—now the Chairman of Lockwood Holdings—was someone he had known since childhood.
By relation, Julian was Lily's uncle, but being only a few years older, he had always doted heavily on his niece.
He had also looked out for Ethan over the years.
Lily called him Julian, but in private, their dynamic felt much more like siblings.
As for her right protector.
For as long as Ethan could remember, simply hearing the man's name was enough to send chills down his spine.
It was better if that man didn't show up, saving him the trouble of dealing with him.
"I'm heading over," Lily gave Ethan a soft smile.
Ethan nodded. "Go ahead, I'll wait for you."
Beaming, Lily bypassed the group of executives and naturally linked her arm through Julian's, silently declaring her extraordinary connection to Lockwood Holdings.
"Julian, I've been waiting for you," Lily smiled, glancing toward the door. "Where is he?"
"He left before the press conference even ended," Julian answered softly, his eyes full of adoration.
Hearing this, Lily couldn't hide her disappointment. "Business is always more important than me."
