The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 17

Ethan glared at her coldly. "How exactly did you bully Lily back in school? Did you really think I didn't know? You had a crush on me, and since I didn't like you, you took all your frustration out on her. Now you're trying to pull the same stunt again, aren't you?"

Alaina stood frozen in place, too stunned to speak.

It was Lily who had discovered her secret crush on Ethan and used it as blackmail to relentlessly bully her for an entire year.

It only ended because Alaina secured early admission and left the school.

And right before she left, Lily gifted her an unforgettable parting present, ensuring she became the laughingstock of the entire campus.

Yet now, the story had somehow twisted into Alaina being a bitter, rejected stalker who tormented Lily?

She didn't even need to ask; he clearly only believed Lily's side of the story.

"Ethan, we've lived under the same roof for three years. Do you really think I'm that kind of person?" she demanded.

Ethan hesitated for a few seconds.

Over the past three years, Alaina had taken care of him with flawless devotion.

In the beginning, he had been like a porcupine, lashing out at everyone with his fury over life's unfairness, refusing to let anyone close.

He had screamed at Alaina, humiliated her, and even injured her by throwing things.

To this day, she still bore scars that would never fade.

Yet Alaina never raised her voice at him once. She patiently cared for him, encouraged him, and stayed by his side through agonizing physical therapy.

Recalling all this, Ethan reined in his anger. Reaching out to grip her shoulders, he lowered his voice. "You're the woman I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. I accepted all of your flaws a long time ago."

Speechless, Alaina let out a bitter laugh.

Apparently, she was supposed to be weeping with gratitude.

"Alaina," Ethan called her name earnestly. "This version of you feels so foreign to me. I fell for the gentle, kind woman who warmed me like sunlight, do you understand?"

She gave a disappointed smirk and shot back, "Sunlight can't warm a mud puddle."
