The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 215

Silas stared at her evenly, offering only a brief, "As you wish."

Tears spilled from Lily's eyes, but she stubbornly wiped them away.

She then withdrew her resentful glare, steering her wheelchair past him until she stopped right in front of Alaina.

"Go ahead and laugh at me. I don't care," she scoffed, exuding a reckless bitterness. "I'll be waiting quietly to see what kind of miserable ending you get."

With that toxic parting glance, she maneuvered her wheelchair and left the room.

Alaina lowered her eyes, remaining silent.

She had no desire to gloat or kick someone while they were down.

A moment later, she turned a concerned gaze toward Silas.

Looking at his unmoving back, she knew she should stay out of it, but she couldn't help herself. "She wanted you to ask her to stay," she said softly.

Silas turned around, a faint trace of weariness weighing down his steps.

However, his expression remained terrifyingly placid, a facade so perfect it completely masked the tempest within him.

"From the moment she chose Ethan over the Summers family, I promised myself I would never ask her to stay."

Alaina furrowed her brows. "You clearly care about her. Why are you pretending you don't?"

Not a single muscle in Silas's face twitched.

His eyes were like a frozen lake—deep, cold, and deliberately shut off to enforce an impenetrable distance between them.

Alaina felt as if she had been transported back to the very first day they met.

The gentle, indulgent man she had known over the past few months felt like a complete stranger.

A suffocating tightness gripped her chest, and a sudden, bitter urge to laugh bubbled up her throat.

She didn't hold back. "If you didn't care, you wouldn't have broken your own rules to show up at that engagement party. If you didn't care, you wouldn't have launched a war against the Harrington family. I know it's not my place, but I can't keep this bottled up anymore."

"Lily is physically and emotionally broken right now. She only said those things to force you to keep her here. She doesn't actually want to leave this house."
