The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 214

"Silas," Julian said slowly, "do you still want to spar?"

Silas nodded and immediately launched an attack.

His strikes were vicious, but they lacked his usual disciplined precision. His footwork was unsteady, and his breathing grew ragged.

Julian quickly noticed his erratic state. He wasn't focused on the fight; a deep, irrepressible agitation raged in his eyes.

After a few exchanges, Silas went for a glaringly obvious grapple, overcommitting and leaving himself wide open.

Julian's gaze sharpened as he seized the opening. He pivoted, using Silas's own momentum against him, and executed a flawless leg sweep into a throw.

Silas completely lost his balance and hit the mat with a heavy thud, slammed down hard.

The mat vibrated slightly beneath him.

He lay there without trying to get up, his chest heaving as he stared at the ceiling, lips pressed into a tight line.

Julian stood over him with his hands on his hips, a teasing smirk on his face. "What happened to our undefeated champion? Has the great hero finally been brought down by a woman?"

Silas shot him a lethal glare but said nothing.

Julian offered him a hand.

Silas remained silent for a moment before grasping it and pulling himself up.

Just then, Alaina abruptly walked back into the room, looking as if she had more to say.

Seeing Silas there, an intense wave of awkwardness washed over her.

She immediately realized that Silas must have overheard her entire conversation with Julian.

A brief flash of panic crossed Silas's eyes, but he quickly buried it behind a mask of chilling indifference.

She tried to maintain her composure. "I didn't realize you were here."
