The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 252

The office was completely silent. Sunlight streamed through the windows, illuminating dust motes dancing slowly in the air.

He opened the first page, the usual icy stoicism between his brows softening slightly.

A moment later, he closed the file and looked up at her, his voice deep but exceptionally gentle. "Good work, Lead Rossi."

Alaina shook her head and spoke truthfully. "It's just like I said before. With our current domestic lithography capabilities, mass-producing Project Aegis is going to be incredibly difficult. What's our next move?"

A second later, Silas stepped in front of her. "During the last delegation to France, we discussed a potential partnership. We'll have to wait for upper management to approve our specific next steps."

He gently patted her shoulder. "I'm going to report this good news to the higher-ups now. Your team can enjoy a well-deserved break for a while."

She nodded. "Do you remember that you promised me a special wish as an extra reward?"

Silas smiled and nodded. "Wait for me at home. I'll be back on time."

She hummed in agreement and turned to leave.

Back at The Summers Estate.

She saw Mrs. Gable leading a group of maids as they hauled out several old trunks.

Mrs. Gable explained that a crack had appeared in the attic roof, and these old trunks had narrowly escaped being soaked by the rain.

Upon further inquiry, Mrs. Gable revealed that the trunks were filled with Silas's childhood belongings.

Alaina suggested moving the trunks into her room for safekeeping until the roof was fixed.

Mrs. Gable complied, instructing the maids to carry the old trunks into her bedroom.

It had been a long time since she had cooked a meal herself.

To celebrate the completion of Project Aegis, she prepared several dishes and enthusiastically decorated the dining room on the first floor.

Silas was true to his word. When he walked into the mansion and saw the dining table laden with delicious food, the corners of his lips quirked upward.

Not seeing Alaina downstairs, he headed up to the second floor.

He knocked and entered her room, finding that Alaina had changed into a brightly colored dress and applied a gorgeous layer of makeup.
