The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 51

Alaina Rossi didn't seek out Professor Foster for confirmation, figuring that if her mentor intended to choose Lily Summers, he surely had his reasons.

Franklin Foster took in her subtle shift in mood and patted her shoulder lightly. "If you aren't feeling well, go find Logan. Step outside for some fresh air. He just went to the restroom, so he should be back by now."

Speak of the devil. Logan strolled over. "Feeling under the weather?"

Alaina shook her head to show she was fine.

Logan chuckled, flashing her a thumbs-up without holding back his praise.

He had personally styled her look for the evening, convinced it perfectly suited both the occasion and Alaina herself.

She already had stunningly delicate features, with a perfectly contoured face that most women envied.

She wasn't overly flashy or seductive, but the meticulously crafted eye makeup accentuated her clear, luminous gaze.

He had intentionally chosen a soft, elegant makeup style to highlight her best features, making her expression look incredibly gentle and her brows elegantly arched.

She radiated a quiet, enduring beauty, her aura completely ethereal.

"I just heard a few women over there totally swooning, saying Mr. Summers is incredibly handsome," Logan whispered, gossiping with her. "Where is he? Let me see. Is he really that good-looking?"

"One o'clock. The man next to Lily wearing the dark emerald brooch," Alaina replied without turning her head, simply gesturing in the general direction.

Logan followed her gaze, his eyes widening in stunned silence before he let out a sigh. "Talk about hitting the genetic lottery."

Alaina leaned in and quietly explained the relationship between Mr. Summers and Lily.

"That manipulative hypocrite's adoptive father?" Logan asked in disbelief, rolling his eyes so hard it hurt and shaking his head vehemently. "What a complete waste. Why give the big bad villain such a gorgeous face?"

Alaina nudged him with her elbow, fighting back a laugh as she signaled for him to keep his voice down.

She wasn't sure if the venue's AC was just on full blast, but a sudden shiver wrecked through her body, accompanied by the distinct feeling of being watched from the shadows.

She instinctively glanced over her shoulder and caught Silas Summers staring right at her, the expensive watch on his wrist catching the dim light as he lifted his drink.

Her spine stiffened, goosebumps breaking out across her skin.
