The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 78

Realizing that calling him Mr. Summers would blow their cover, and still feeling too awkward to use his first name out of nowhere, she stumbled before settling on his name naturally.

"Since Silas is a public figure now, it's better to keep things low-key."

Great-Aunt Rosemary's expression softened considerably. She patted Alaina's hand affectionately. "Thank you for being so understanding. But even if we skip the massive wedding, we must formally introduce you to the rest of the extended family and our close business partners. That ceremony is non-negotiable."

With that, she shot a look at Silas.

Right on cue, Zachary Jenkins stepped in. "Boss, there's an urgent matter at the office."

Silas stood up, glancing calmly at Alaina. "Follow my aunt's arrangements."

Then, he strode out of the room.

"Exactly, leave it to me," Great-Aunt Rosemary said, patting Alaina's hand before calling over Mrs. Gable. "Notify Julian to come over for dinner tonight. And Lily—she's been staying at her apartment lately, right? Tell her to come back and meet Alaina."

"Right away," Mrs. Gable nodded. "But Ms. Lily isn't in town. She flew to the United States the day before yesterday."

Great-Aunt Rosemary frowned. "By herself? For how long?"

"I'm not sure if she went alone, but from what I hear, she won't be back anytime soon," Mrs. Gable replied.

Alaina lowered her eyes. She knew Lily was likely with Ethan, and she couldn't help but dread the inevitable confrontation.

She could only imagine the look on Lily's face when they finally crossed paths again.

Great-Aunt Rosemary thought for a moment. "Tell her she absolutely must be back before the winter memorial service."

"Yes, Madam."

Great-Aunt Rosemary turned back to Alaina, explaining patiently, "Every year on the winter solstice, The Summers Family Chapel hosts a memorial service to honor our heritage. The entire family attends, along with our closest allies and friends. It will be the perfect occasion to officially establish your position as the lady of the house."

She nodded.
