The CEO’s Regret My Ex-Wife is a Tech Goddess novel Chapter 94

Zachary pulled the car door open, and Silas stepped out. His commanding presence was so overwhelming that the bustling crowd fell into a synchronized, stunned silence.

What was he doing here?

Alaina froze in place, her mind entirely blank.

Silas locked eyes with her, the usual icy chill in his gaze softening into something warmer.

Arthur, sharply picking up on the shift in atmosphere, didn't ask any questions. He quietly dispersed the lingering neighbors and ushered Silas inside.

The doctor walked out just as Silas entered, nearly bumping into him. The younger man quickly stepped aside, unable to hide the instinctual fear flashing across his face.

"Alaina, I'm going to head back to the clinic," the doctor said, holding up his phone. "Should we add each other on social media?"

Snapping out of her daze, Alaina reached for her phone.

But Silas turned around, shooting the doctor a gaze so predatory and lethal it could freeze blood.

Without Silas needing to say a single word, the doctor swallowed hard, clutched his medical bag, and bolted out the door in sheer panic.

Alaina looked at Silas, completely bewildered.

He ignored her questioning stare, murmured something quietly to Arthur, and the two men walked directly into Arthur's study for a private conversation.

Left outside the closed door, Alaina's imagination ran wild, wondering exactly what Silas was confessing to her father.

Evelyn walked up, practically buzzing with curiosity. "Alaina, is that your friend?"

She shook her head.

"I have never seen such a gorgeous man in my life. He's even better looking than those movie stars on TV," Evelyn said, her eyes wide. "But knowing you, you probably didn't even notice. You have to make him stay for dinner so I can keep admiring him."

Alaina let out a helpless laugh. "Evelyn, what are you talking about?"

"Alaina!"
