The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 125

When Wade mentioned calling the police, Gavin’s legs nearly buckled. Plagiarism had happened at school before, but it always got sorted out quietly. Why was Wade suddenly talking about bringing in the police? If things kept going this way, his whole story would unravel.

Paulina watched him anxiously, silently cursing Gavin’s nerves. She really didn’t need him screwing things up for her.

The group was a mess of different reactions. The only one who stayed completely calm was Rebecca stayed utterly calm.

“Wade, we can’t call the police.”

“Mr. Wade, do we really need to take this to the authorities?”

Ablitt and Lily spoke up together, one sounding desperate, the other testing the waters.

Wade took in their protests, his gaze drifting over Rebecca, who said nothing. His eyes went ice cold. “Why shouldn’t we call the police? Something this serious deserves a real investigation, doesn’t it?”

Ablitt shrank under the weight of Wade’s stare. “Wade, I’m just thinking about Vantage Point University’s reputation. If word gets out, the fallout could be huge. I really think it would be best to handle this internally... keep it from spreading.”

Noticing Wade’s look darken, he hurried to continue. “But don’t worry, our campus surveillance is always running. Unless someone intentionally shut it down or tampered with it, we’ll be able to find out what happened.”

Wade’s frown deepened. His voice held a quiet authority. “Lily, we already agreed to wait until after the entrance exams before making any decisions about Rebecca. Why are you so eager to rush this?”

“I thought that at first, but look at what’s happening. Class A has always been trouble free, and now we’re caught in a plagiarism scandal. If word gets out, it’ll undermine parents’ trust in Apex Academy, and it’ll hurt the whole university’s reputation.”

Lily made her case with full confidence, sounding so reasonable you’d almost believe her. But the message was simple—just get Rebecca out of Class A.

Felice jumped in right away, nodding along. “Wade, I actually agree with Lily. We’ve all worked ourselves to the bone to get into Class A. The older students inspired us with how amazing they are, and that’s what pushed us. But now Class A, the class everyone looks up to, is making headlines because of Rebecca. If she stays, what will that say about the rest of us?”
