The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 157

Rebecca had zero interest in the list. She scarfed down her lunch and headed straight out of the cafeteria.

But right at the exit, she walked straight into Paulina and her entourage.

Paulina stood dead center, flanked by Felice and Gavin Michel like a pair of loyal lackeys.

Too lazy to deal with them, Rebecca tried to step around the group.

"Not so fast, Rebecca! Paulina has something to ask you," Felice demanded, stepping in her way.

Rebecca shot her a frosty look. "She has something to say, so I'm obligated to listen? Good dogs don't block the path. Move."

Felice bristled. "Who are you calling a dog!"

Seeing Felice's face turn crimson with rage, Paulina finally intervened. "Rebecca, please don't misunderstand. Felice only stopped you because she knew I needed to talk to you. She didn't mean any harm."

Rebecca shifted her gaze to Paulina and deadpanned, "Spit it out."

Paulina's face stiffened, anger flaring in her chest.

Yet she kept it under control, keeping her voice sweet. "Rebecca, I just wanted to advise you. You might have some musical talent, but you've never won any awards. You shouldn't risk choosing the music department for your test. Once you're eliminated, there's no coming back."

She hadn't forgotten the day Rebecca first returned to the Russell family and casually played the prelude to that impossibly hard symphony. Terrified of seeing a repeat of that performance at Vantage Point, she desperately wanted to steer Rebecca away from music.

She didn't voice those fears, but Rebecca read her like a book. "What, afraid I'll crush you so hard in your best subject that there won't even be dust left?"

Paulina froze, her true motives painfully exposed.

The others had no idea how skilled Rebecca actually was, having only heard rumors about her "plagiarizing" from Gavin. Seeing her double down on her arrogance, they burst into laughter.

"This is hilarious! A talentless plagiarist wants to challenge the top musical prodigy at Vantage Point? Am I hearing things?"

"She's disgusting. If Paulina hadn't recommended her for admission, she'd still be rotting in some backwater town. Instead of being grateful, she thinks she can compete with her? So delusional!"

Rebecca's frigid gaze swept over them, devoid of any warmth as she fired back with venom.

"What, are you all Paulina's rabid attack dogs? You just bark and bite at anyone walking by?"

"You bitch, what did you just say?!" A punk-looking guy rolled up his sleeves and charged forward, only to be yanked back by the others.

"Chase, calm down! Did you forget she broke a guy's bones last time?"

Chase halted reluctantly, though his attitude remained nasty.
