The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 164

Seeing Garnett line up ahead of him, a flash of malice crossed Gavin's eyes. He stood up and called out to the teacher on the balcony. “Sir, can I request to take my exam early? I have an urgent matter to attend to later.”

He had meticulously prepared for this moment. There was no way he was going to let Garnett take the stage first.

The teacher frowned at the blatant attempt to disrupt the schedule. But Wade had specifically instructed them to accommodate the students whenever possible. Unwilling to reject him in front of the crowd, the teacher replied, “I can't authorize that immediately. Let me consult with the president and The Dean.”

“Thank you, sir,” Gavin said, flashing a sickeningly polite smile.

The teacher's expression softened slightly. He gestured for the candidates who had just stood up to wait, then turned and headed into the exam room.

The rest of the students stared at Gavin in disbelief. Going early made zero sense. Everyone who had gone in so far had been obliterated. The general consensus was that going later offered a slight psychological advantage. Gavin's eagerness was entirely unnatural.

“Do you think the rumor about Garnett plagiarizing Gavin is true? Is that why he's so desperate to go head-to-head?” someone whispered.

“You know what? That actually makes sense.”

“I didn't want to believe a top student from Apex Academy would steal from his own cousin, but now I'm not so sure.”

“Gavin wouldn't make a scene like this if he didn't have hard proof. This exam is going to be explosive.”

At the promise of drama, ears perked up across the hall, and the whispers grew louder.

“I heard the plagiarism scandal isn't just about those two. What about her?” A student subtly pointed at Rebecca in the corner.

Edna, who was painfully shy, turned red with fury. “You have no right to mock her! Candace works incredibly hard. She's going to pass this time!”

The group erupted into harsh, mocking laughter, as if Edna had just told the funniest joke of the century.

Someone sarcastically mimicked her. “She works incredibly hard. She's going to pass this time.”

“Oh, definitely. She's a shoe-in,” another sneered.

“Hahaha!”

The laughter was so abrasive that Rebecca finally lost her focus on the game.
