As she spoke, Yvette shot a pointed glance in the direction of Caitlin and Elsa, who had just walked in.

Elsa frowned. "Stop with the veiled accusations. There are only six people in this room. Who would steal her things? We wouldn't look twice at it, even if it was worth two million, let alone two hundred thousand."

"I didn't name anyone. Why get so defensive? Sounds like a guilty conscience to me," Yvette shot back.

Elsa was about to retort, but Caitlin tugged on her arm, whispering, "Elsa, don't fall into their trap."

Charis continued her performance. "Yvette, let's not argue. Just help me find the necklace! It's worth two hundred thousand!"

Yvette's eyes narrowed. "We may have searched our three beds, but there are other beds we haven't checked yet, right?"

Yvette's eyes narrowed. "Miss Gonzales, I bet the thief is Caitlin! The only reason she'd dare to call the police is because she's already hidden the necklace somewhere off-campus. Isn't Mr. Richards here for a lecture? You're his sister! The apple of the entire Richards family's eye. Why don't I go get Mr. Richards to come and deliver some justice for you?"

"Get Norris?" Charis's face went pale. If they brought Norris here, wouldn't her fake identity as a Gonzales be exposed?

The thought terrified her. "Maybe we shouldn't," she said quickly. "I don't want to bother my brother over something so small."

Nicolette chimed in, "Two hundred thousand is not a small thing! It's enough to send someone to jail for a few years. Miss Gonzales, you're just too kind! If you won't go, I will. Otherwise, some people might think they can walk all over you! You just wait, I'll be right back."
