THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1076

Gordon had never cared that Caitlin had been married before, but hearing that her marriage to Julian was one in name only still sent a jolt of euphoria through him.

He pressed down, capturing her lips with his, swallowing every sound she made.

In the darkness, Gordon's eyes seemed to be on fire. Caitlin had never known he had this much stamina. He went from dusk till midnight, and then from midnight until the first light of dawn painted the sky. It was as if he had an endless well of energy.

By the end, Caitlin didn't even know what time she had finally fallen asleep.

--

When Caitlin woke up again, she was in a clean nightgown, and Gordon was no longer in bed.

She sat up, lifting her arm. "Hiss..."

Her entire body ached, as if she had done ten thousand push-ups.

Looking down, she saw her skin - from her chest all the way down - marked with a scattering of love bites. Even her arms hadn't been spared.

Her skin was very fair, and normally even a light press would leave a red mark. How could it withstand Gordon's relentless kissing and biting?

Caitlin threw back the covers, intending to go to the walk-in closet to change, only to find a complete set of clothes, from underwear to outerwear, already laid out on the nightstand.

Deciding not to get up, she sat on the bed and began to change. Just as she took off her nightgown...

Click.

The door was pushed open, and Gordon walked in.

Startled, Caitlin quickly pulled the blanket up to cover herself. "What are you doing? You don't even knock?"

"What's there to hide?" Gordon strode over, leaned down to kiss her cheek, and grinned. "It's not like I didn't see everything last night!"

Caitlin gave him a playful swat. "Turn around."

This time, Gordon complied, his expression turning innocent. "Yes, boss."

After he turned, Caitlin started to get dressed.

"Are you ready yet, boss?" Gordon asked.

"Almost," Caitlin replied. "What time is it?"

"Twelve-thirty," Gordon answered.

Caitlin froze. "What did you say?"

What time?!?

Seeing Caitlin arrive, the butler immediately instructed the servants to bring out the food.

Alaina smiled. "Catie's here."

"Catie, come sit down and eat."

"Boss Caitlin, my grandma heard you like the food from this restaurant, so she hired their head chef to come cook for us. Come try it and see how it tastes."

Gordon naturally pulled out a chair for Caitlin. "Have a seat."

Caitlin sat down, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Mom, Alaina, Justice, you really didn't have to wait for me to eat."

"Not at all," Alaina patted Caitlin's hand. "Catie, we always have a late lunch in this family. We weren't waiting for you. Besides, Skyler just woke up too."

Alaina, Justice, and Skyler had all stayed over at Sylvester Manor last night.

"That's right, that's right," Skyler quickly nodded. "Boss Caitlin, I just woke up too."

Justice nodded in agreement.

Soon, the dining table was filled with laughter and cheerful conversation. Beatrice had even instructed the kitchen to prepare a special nutritious meal for Monday, who ate contentedly beside them. Snow, the cat, was curled up in Caitlin's lap.

The atmosphere in the Sylvester family was wonderful. There was no difficult mother-in-law or troublemaking sister-in-law. Instead, everyone treated Caitlin like a precious treasure.
