THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1090

Ann?

Ulysses shook his head. "Big sister? But I don't have a sister."

"No sister? It seemed that neither Gavin nor that bitch Rowena had ever mentioned me to Ulysses." Ann thought.

Ann's eyes narrowed, a venomous look flashing within them. "I really am your sister. Look at this, if you don't believe me."

She took out her phone and pulled up a photo of herself with Gavin.

It was a picture taken six years ago, one of the few they had together.

Six years ago, Ann had been the cherished darling of everyone around her.

Looking at the photo now, Ann felt a strange, indescribable emotion.

She pointed to Gavin in the picture. "Ulysses, who is this?"

"That's Daddy!" Even though he was young, Ulysses recognized his father at a glance.

Ann smiled faintly. "And who's the person standing next to Daddy?"

Ulysses shook his head. "I've never seen her before."

Six years ago, Ann had been fair-skinned and beautiful, as exquisite as a princess from a fairy tale.

Now, fresh out of prison, her skin was sallow, her hair was coarse, and her face was dotted with blemishes. She didn't look the same at all, not even a fraction as pretty as she used to be.

Never seen her before? Ulysses's answer made Ann frown.

As expected, a bastard raised by a bitch would be just as clueless.

But Ann forced a smile. "That's me! I'm your big sister."

Ann struggled to maintain her smile. "Because I've been away for a long time, and I only just got back. Ulysses, I really am your sister. Look, my eyes and nose are the same as in the picture, right? Oh, it's so hot today. Would you like some ice cream? I bought some for you."

With that, Ann took a pre-purchased ice cream cone from her bag.

At the sight of the ice cream, Ulysses's eyes lit up.

His mother said ice cream was unhealthy and rarely let him have it. Seeing such a big cone right in front of him, it was hard not to be tempted.

But Ulysses still shook his head. "Thank you, but my mommy said I can't take things from strangers."

"Am I a stranger? I'm your sister." Ann then pushed the ice cream into Ulysses's hand. "I have to go now, so I can't play with you."

Then, she turned and walked away.

After Ann left, Ulysses couldn't resist the temptation. He unwrapped the ice cream and quickly took a lick.
