THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1104

Gordon was the first to react, rushing to the nurse's side. "I am! I'm Caitlin's husband."

"How is my wife?" he asked anxiously.

"And us, we're all family!" Hannah, Keira, Fortune, Beatrice, and the others all surged forward, surrounding the nurse.

The nurse was a bit taken aback. She'd seen anxious family members before, but never this many.

Between the four elderly relatives, Caitlin's parents, Skyler and Magda, Jade, and a few others, there were more than a dozen people.

It was clear just how much this family cherished the woman in the operating room.

The nurse smiled warmly. "Congratulations, everyone. The mother has safely delivered three healthy babies. Mother and children are all doing well."

A collective sigh of relief filled the hallway.

Gordon pressed on, "And my wife?"

"The mother will be brought out shortly."

Soon, Caitlin was wheeled out of the operating room. The anesthesia was wearing off, and she was slowly regaining consciousness.

Several other nurses followed, each holding a tiny, bundled infant.

But Gordon seemed oblivious to the babies. He didn't even ask about their genders. He went straight to Caitlin's bedside. "Catie, you did it. Thank you," he whispered, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.

The rest of the family also gathered around Caitlin, asking how she was feeling, completely overlooking the newborns who had just been brought out.

"Where are the babies?" Caitlin asked softly.

The babies?

Gordon blinked, then turned to the nurses. "Where are the babies?"

"Right here," one of the nurses said with a smile.

"This is the eldest, a boy, 1.78 kilograms."

A boy? It was actually a boy?

What was so great about a girl? In the end, they just grow up and get married.

"Here, Dad, why don't you hold your daughter first?" the nurse said, handing the little girl to Gordon.

Gordon had taken classes on how to hold a newborn, but as he cradled his tiny, fragile daughter, his hands trembled with nervousness.

He held her with painstaking care, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Catie, look. Our daughter looks just like you."

Caitlin laughed softly. "She's so little. How can you possibly tell who she looks like?"

"Look at her little mouth, her little nose, her little eyes… they're all just like yours."

Caitlin raised an eyebrow. "Her eyes aren't even open yet. How can you tell they look like mine?"

"They just do."

By now, everyone had turned their attention to the three babies, marveling at them as if they were precious treasures.

Beatrice was holding the eldest, and Carey held the second. They both brought the infants closer to Caitlin. "Freya, look, this is the first one."
