THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1122

Even though Gemma couldn't speak much yet, she was incredibly smart.

Carey doted on her granddaughter.

The little girl wasn't even two years old, but Carey had already set up a million-dollar trust fund for her.

Caitlin and Gordon got out of the car just then. "Mom, Dad."

"Come on inside, it's cold out here," Carey and Stuart said, carrying the children into the house.

Gordon stepped forward with a smile. "Dad, let me take one. They're growing so fast, carrying both of them must be tough on you."

At his words, both Jasper and Silas tightened their arms around Stuart's neck. "Love, love Grandpa!"

"Bad Daddy!"

Gordon was at a loss for words.

Whoever said boys always side with their mothers was a genius!

These little rascals, barely out of diapers, already knew how to team up against him.

Daughters were better. A daughter was her daddy's girl.

Stuart had been a bit tired, but seeing the two little ones vying for his affection, he suddenly felt a surge of energy. He grinned at Gordon. "It's fine, I can handle them! Forget two, Grandpa could carry ten of them!"

Silas gave Stuart a thumbs-up. "Grandpa's strong!"

Jasper immediately followed. "Grandpa's the best!"

The two boys, one on each side, showered Stuart with compliments. They really knew how to butter him up.

Meanwhile, elsewhere…

As soon as Xander got home, his mother, Frieda, demanded, "Well? Did you break up with her? Did you make things clear?"

That's right. Xander's meeting with Elsa today was supposed to be about their breakup.

So, he had planned to make things clear with her today.

But unexpectedly, Elsa had introduced him to her friends!

Xander had never dreamed that someone as naive as Elsa would know a powerhouse like Caitlin.

Thinking of this, Xander looked at Frieda, his voice filled with excitement. "We didn't break up! Mom, our family is about to hit the jackpot!"

Didn't break up?

Frieda was furious. "Why not? Don't tell me you've gotten serious? If you marry a woman like that, our family will never make it big, not in this lifetime or the next ten!"

In Frieda's eyes, her son was so exceptional that he could even marry a daughter from one of The Capital's most prominent families.

What was Elsa?

Just a girl from a family that had fallen on hard times.
