As the knife went in, blood instantly stained Gertrude's clothes.

Louie roared. In that same moment, he finally managed to saw through the ropes binding his hands behind his back with a pair of nail clippers that had fallen on the floor.
As the ropes snapped, Louie broke free and lunged, slamming into Elsa.
He had actually been awake for a while, even before Gertrude.
He had been desperately trying to break free from the ropes, but Elsa had tied them too tightly. He couldn't get loose.
Just as he was about to lose hope, his fingers brushed against the nail clippers he had bought recently.
Finding them, Louie was ecstatic, but he didn't let it show, patiently sawing at the ropes in secret.
Finally, his efforts paid off. The ropes broke.
Elsa's eyes widened in shock. She never expected Louie to move so suddenly, let alone break free.
She was knocked to the ground.
Elsa wasn't a trained fighter. The only reason she'd been able to kill the three Forresters was because they hadn't been on their guard.
Louie was a different story.
He was nearly six feet tall, worked out regularly, and had grown up doing farm work. He was incredibly strong.
Right now, his only weakness was that he was unarmed.
In his desperation, Louie grabbed a nearby mop and swung it forcefully at Elsa!
Even though Elsa had a knife, Louie wasn't afraid. His only fear was that Gertrude would miss her window for medical treatment.
They had just gotten married. They were even planning to try for a baby soon.
And now this was happening.
Louie couldn't believe Elsa had become so unhinged.
"No! I have to subdue her, call an ambulance, and call the police! Now!"
